Has anybody been to Mt. Mitchell of late? is it possible to access Mt. Mitchell from swift again. Any words appreciated

Yeah I want to try it but i've only seen it available as a hot wax, and I don't have an iron for that. I've always just used warm weather rub on wax

Has anybody 'round here used glacier wax for spring/summer climbing trips? does it work any better than warm weather wax for the sticky slushy snow we all know to well? Someone please let me know if you used it and how you liked it. Thanks
