Congrats on summiting and too bad one of you guys wasn't able to make it to the top. And how awesome are you guys for raising money for the charity to do such a climb this late of the season! I just did Hood on 7/7 and there was still a ton of snow on the summit. I would really hate to go back there and do it in August.

Also, I don't know if this matters, but I am female in my late 20's. My condition changes a lot - some days I do well on regular hikes, other days I really have to slow down. Hello, I am interested in climbing Colchuck Peak via Colchuck Glacier Route tomorrow morning(Saturday 07/29) or perhaps Sunday morning. I don't have a lot of alpine climbing experience, but I was hoping to go with someone who knows the route and has a bit more experience. I would most likely want to take a short break at Colchuck Lake, since I have never been to the Enchantments before. I know it is going to be a very long day, coming from Seattle. I just tagged Hood earlier this month, and it was more like a spur of the moment kind of climb. I knew it would probably be my last chance to head out there because really, the best time to climb Hood is between May-early July. The Hogsback gets pretty dangerous with the steepness and rockfalls. I would definitely avoid trying it next month.

I am looking to climb Mt. St. Helens on Sunday, 05/20, the latest available weekend day for this year with 20-something climbing permits left. I would like to commit to this soon, but I would like to find someone to do this with as well. Wouldn't it be a great way to meet someone new with the same passion?
