  4. I am new to mountain climbing but not to the outdoors. I am trying to beef up my gear for climbing, particular my boots, and wanted some opinions. I don't have a large budget and need a good all around boot. I have been looking at the Mammut Monolith GTX they fit my foot really well from what I have been able to tell at the store, but wanted some input if there is a better boot but still affortable. Around that $300 range. and definetly crampon compatable. Thanks
  5. Amazing pictures. If you could rate this climb on a 1-10 for a begginner where would it fall? ten being the hardest.
  6. Most definetly will layer the clothing for sure. I appriciate everyones input I think I am going to go for those NWalpine pants as see what they can do for me. Thanks everyone

  8. I am looking for a good pair of alpine climbing pants to do some local peaks in such as Rainier, Adams, Baker, and Hood. All I could find on google was some ski pants. I need some 100% waterproof and not baggy. Looking to spend under $200 if possible Thanks Frank
