  1. Terraplane is sold Vortex is sold. Mountainsmith zipper pulls are sold. *nothing sold on this board
  2. I have a Patagonia gift card with a value of $425 that I'd like to sell for $400. I'll throw in a $10 Kinnucan's gift card for free. If you pay me with a money order rather than PayPal, the total is $390. I'll consider trades as well. Old vintage gear is of interest (packs, boots, tents). I'm also in the market for a new tent and a new sleeping bag. Hit me up with any ideas. Would rather sell the gift card, but a full or partial trade is also possible.
  3. Cold Cold World Chaos is sold. Dana Design T-1 is sold.
  4. All still available. Feel free to make counter-offers.
  5. If you're interested, PM me or email me. Feel free to make counter-offers and haggle the price. No fees if you would like to pay with a personal check (2 week wait while it clears) or a money order. ============== Vortex. 4500 model from 1995 and made in the USA. Burgundy. Pack size Medium. Belt size Medium. 4500 cubic inches. $115 + postage + PayPal fees. -My main go-to pack is a Vortex. I love them. Great condition, and I'd almost venture to call it "like new". I cut the pneumatic system out of the belt, so there is a clean 1.5" cut in the belt face on the right side that I singed closed and mended with heavy upholstery thread. The mend is in a no-stress area and will never be a problem. I literally guarantee it and will offer my repair skills as a "lifetime warranty". I'll even pay to send it back to you. That's how confident I am that this repair is of no consequence at all. Why did I remove the pneumatic system? Because the belt is already insanely comfortable and stable so the pump and hosing were around 12ozs of unnecessary weight. *the pneumatic system is a little hand pump bladder, like a suction bladder they use in surgeries, connected to tubes that run the length of the belt that fed into two sturdy balloons. You would use your palm against the front of the belt to push the bladder and fill the belt with air, conforming it to your waist. Also had a release value to deflate the balloons. Cool idea...if the belt would have been junk, but since the belt is as nice as any belt ever made, they were entirely design overkill. ============== Dana Design/K2. T-1 external frame. Green. Pack size Regular. Belt size Regular (if you need a size Large belt, I might be willing to accommodate that). 4100 cubic inches. $190 + postage + PayPal fees. -These external Danas only came in two sizes: Regular and Large. This pack is the same as the Terraframe without the lower sleeping bag compartment. Big main compartment and two large vertical pockets with a daisy chain in-between them (modeled off the Terraplane design). The only problem with this pack is the internal waterproofing is flaking. I don't consider that much of a problem because I would never trust a pack's waterproofing to function as any great assurance. ============== Dana Design. Terraplane internal frame. Dark blue. Pack size Large. Belt size Large. 5800 cubic inches. 1989 pack with a mid-90s belt and framesheet. $190 + postage + PayPal fees. -A good friend of mine thought they were doing me a favor by picking this up because it was an older model in such good condition. It's too big for me. I use a medium/medium. Dark blue, but it is faded to look almost exactly like an old denim jean. The fabric is still in good, durable condition. It's a good thing the belt and framesheet were replaced, because those early Dana Design models didn't have as nice of belts as the latter models did; more contouring and structure to the newer belts. You'll see a lot of older Dana Design backpacks with cracked framesheets because the plastic they were using was less flexible and more brittle. They remedied this by using HDPE plastic that was both flexible and very durable. As far as I'm concerned, and this isn't just BS sale pitch, this pack having an updated belt and new framesheet with shoulder bar (also not found in the very early models) are both great improvements and both quality and value to the pack. This pack is from just after they stopped using the leather Dana tags and prior to the red/orange fabric tags. Made entirely in Montana. ============== Columbia 100% cotton sweater. size XL. $10 + postage + PayPal fees. -like new. ============== Mountainsmith zipper pulls/key chains. $2.50 each or $12 for all seven + postage + PayPal fees. -I coudn't get a photo of the Mountainsmith tag, but it is there between the folded over webbing. ============== Alaskan WWII cold weather wool socks. $20 + postage + PayPal fees. -I picked these up from an antique store a long, long time ago. I've never seen another pair, and if nothing else, maybe someone can tell me more about them. Very thick, very dense wool knee-high socks. 26 inches high. One hole as you can see in the photo. A pair of regular wool ragg socks is 5/8 inch thick laying on their side. These are 1 1/4 inch thick laying on their side.
  6. I appreciate the offer. A large pack is too big for me. Still looking for a medium/medium.
  7. DPS's pack didn't quite fit what I'd like to find. Still looking.
  8. never heard back from dhrmabum. still looking...
  9. Thanks to you both. Messages have been returned. Yes, to anyone else out there, I'm still looking as of right this moment. Thanks.
  10. I have an Osprey Vector pack with a woman's medium belt and a woman's medium shoulder harness. Both are in mint condition. I'm looking to swap them for a man's medium belt and man's medium shoulder harness. Any of the Osprey Fusion EX and/or Vector packs with adjustable framesheet/harness combinations from 1995-1999 (or maybe even up to 2000) use the same overall design and dimensions. The belt and harness are the same lengths, so they meet the same fit parameters. They're just cut differently. The woman's harness is shaped to curve around the breasts instead of lay over them, and the belt has a smaller circumference at the top than at the bottom, so it can accommodate for the smaller waist and larger hips. Small differences, but differences nonetheless. You can tell the difference by "WM" vs. "M" on the white sizing tags. If anyone is willing to make an even swap, please contact me through the board or via this email: geisten8 at hotmail dot com
  11. Thanks for that info. I'd go with a new McHale and skip the whole pack hunting process, but I simply cannot afford one. If anyone is selling, I'm interested in talking.
  12. still looking. given it some more thought, and even a medium pack/large belt would work for me. anyone?
  13. Thanks. Looking for a bigger pack for some winter, longer excursions. still looking if anyone is holding.
  14. couldn't find a Vortex 7000 (if you have one you want to sell, definitely get ahold of me), so I'm onto my 2nd choice. Anyone have a medium belt/medium pack Astralplane they want to sell (or trade, if that is your inclination)? Or if you have a bigger McHale, I'm open to that as well.
