  1. I might be as well. Grey, are you driving? Do you have room for one more? -Kevin
  2. It's still a month away, but I've got a month off this Summer and am heading south to climb. I'm semi-flexible with dates and location, but I'm tentatively planning to head out during the last week of August and return during the third week of September. I plan to spend most of the time in Yosemite, but would also be into checking out Lover's Leap and maybe some alpine in the high Sierras. I'm hoping to just find partners there (I've never been to Yosemite before, but I hear it's pretty easy to find folks to climb with), but if anyone here wants to carpool and/or climb with me for all or part of the trip, I'd be stoked. I lead low 10s on gear and high 11s on bolts. I'd like to focus on longer free routes, but will likely go for a sampling of everything.
  3. How is it that I can't find ANYONE to go out of town on such a beautiful weekend? Well, I've got tentative local plans for tomorrow, but if anyone wants to hit up someplace nearby on Sunday (Broughtons/Frenches/Ozone/etc) let me know. I'd hate to wind up gym climbing on such a great weekend!
  4. Anyone up for Smith or Trout this weekend? Weather looks great. I climb around 5.11 sport and 5.9/5.10- on gear, but would be happy to climb with anyone. I'm in Portland, and would prefer to carpool, but could meet you there as well.
  5. Looking to climb somewhere this weekend, as long as the weather reports don't turn too far south. I'm up for Smith, Trout Creek, Leavenworth, or anything else and would be happy to carpool from Portland or meet you there. I'm looking to get on 5.9-5.10 on gear, or 5.11-5.12a on sport, but would be more than happy to belay you on easier or harder routes.
  6. Usually, I'm off on Sundays through Wednesdays, which gives me lots of time, but I miss out on half of most potential parters' weekends. I took off this weekend to head to Squamish, but my partner bailed on me. So I found someone to go to Smith with, but they bailed as well. I've got the time off, and it'll be my only proper weekend off this Summer, so I'd like to make use of it. So, if you're interested in heading somewhere from Portland (Index, Smith, Trout Creek, just about anywhere sport, trad, multi-pitch, whatever), let me know. I did get back on the schedule on Friday, so I can't leave until around 7pm, but don't have to be back until Wednesday. I'm leading around 10- trad, 11- sport, but I'll be happy to climb with you whether you're above or below that level. The only catch is that I don't have a car. Of course, I'd be happy to help out with driving and gas. -Kevin 850-322-6851 siggismund@hotmail.com (please note that I don't use this site too often, so your best bet is phone or e-mail)
  7. Just moved back to town (pdx) and need people to climb with. If you're looking for a regular partner, or just want someone to climb with for a day or two, get in touch! I'll climb indoors, but am more excited about getting outdoors (especially with the weather we've been having!) I'm free Fridays-Mondays at the moment and will climb anything (indoor, outdoor, sport, trad, bouldering, in town, out of town). I don't have a car, but am happy to pitch in gas and help with driving. -Kevin siggismund@hotmail.com
