  14. Hey I posted a couple months back, got some replies, but not alot of feedback. it's great if your interested in climbing, it's even better if you actually are and follow through so we can get to know one another. I'm planning on doing Adams, Baker, Rainier, and glacier peak in June. Weather depending of course. I have lots of multipitch Trad rock experience and some alpine experience. I'm familiar with snow anchors and crevasse rescue, but would love to practice this and get comfortable with each others knowledge before heading off into the hills to find out what we know. I'm a safe climber and plan on keeping it that way. I'm pretty laid back, but like to push myself within reason. I have my wilderness first responder, avy 1 and lead up to 5.9 trad currently. I"ve been at altidude before but never above 14,000 feet. anyways I love to meet up with some people to go climb and get and repore going so we know each other before personalities clash on the mountain. Happy climbing to all, stay safe cheers Topher
  15. Hey I'm looking for partners who want to climb rainier as well as other volcanoes this summer mainly in June. I'm 29 and will be unemployed this summer. ht me up

    My weekend rant.

I hope you informed them of their improper choice. it's your duty to keep you and fellow climbers safe.
  18. Willey X's are pretty simillar to glacier glasses, prolly more durable, I'd use the template on em rather than the straps. If your Oakley's aren't dark enough for you to wear on a sunny day at the slopes without squinting then get something else or wear the wiley's. Cheers
  19. Thanks guys, the lowa experts seem to be a diffent last than there other boots and fit quite narrow. I've also found that Asolo's fit narrow in general, But I'd be willing to check those out. I'd love to try on boots locally however for alot of people it's not possible plus most shops simply carry the same La sportiva, scarpa boots no variety at all. I've been informed that the kaylands have a bit wider fit and that the apex rock might be a good boot. I'm also curiosu about zanberland expert pros, and boots made by aku and salewa but I haven't tried them on or know how they fit.
  20. Okay good to know, but Yea it sounds like too much of a boot for my all round purposes.
  21. Man I'm going Ape Sh-t here trying to find some descent boots. seem every idiot at online store can't or won't try on boots to even give you and idea about fit. So I'm looking for a boot that is semi auto crampon compatible, and not too stiff for longer approches. I have a d width foot. I fit in most la sportiva's except the trango's fit too narrow. and la sportiva's have sloppy ankle and the eyelets touch when I tighten them up. I'm especially intrested if anyone was tried on boots, from zanberland, Or millet, Aku, and Salewa. also Kaylands. Thanks guys
  22. I'm not there but one of my partner is Dwayne shotton he's super safe reliable guy in his 40's you can contact him via email at dshotgun@hotmail.com He climbs trad and sport. Cheers hope it works out
  23. Hey I'm an eastside local. I am looking for a climbing partner from june to ??? I'm looking to do most of the volcanoes this summer, and do alpine trad near Washington pass and other north cross state areas. About me; 29 male climbed outside for 10 years, 2 year trad mostly california, but some washington. Lots of yosemite and south lake tahoe multipitch routes. done shasta and whitney before. I lead around 5.9 trad and have topped up 10.d looking to improve of course. Have my own rack on car. Looking for partners who are motivated, and safe, and willing to compromise summits for safety and sanity. Would like to build a repore first and climb easier stuff until we get to know each other before heading off on a big adventure. Cheers and safe and happy climbing to all
