  1. Hi, I just came to lost and found to see if anybody had found a green c3 at the base of the GNS at Index. While I was browsing I found the owner of the cinch I found on the first pitch of orbit. So if there is crazy karma in the world, can I have my c3 back? Thanks a ton!
  2. Oh dude! I have you're cinch! My girlfriend found it right to the right of the first belay tree on Orbit. Glad I could find the owner. Shoot me a PM and I can get it back to you somehow. If there is crazy, crazy karma in the world- you didn't happen to find a green C3 at the base GNS in Index? That's the reason I came to lost and found, not to lose my precious booty!
  3. Hey Scott, The fundraiser at REI went really well. A lot of people showed up and everybody had a great time climbing. Also loved Luke's video of you guys at Peshtain Pinnacles which was featured on a mondo screen-- classic. Ricky
  4. Well, it seems as if my phone is not receiving incoming calls anymore. I can still make calls though. If you want to PM me with you're number, I'll try to have my girlfriend give it to me as I'm heading out to Index right now. If you want to meet up out there, I'll be the dude with long hair hopefully doing city park.
  5. Hi, I'm heading back down to California August 15th and made a big list of stuff I'd like to get done before then. I've got partners for all of the weekends but need partners for Monday-Thursday. Without further ado, the list! - explore Mt. Erie (climbed 3 routes the other day and its a great spot) - Godzilla and Toxic Shock at Index - Anything on Goat Wall at Mazama - Infinite Bliss - The Tooth - Climb at Squamish (maybe climb The Chief?) - A technical route up Mt. Stuart I'm open to do other things, of course, but these are at the top of my list. I'm hoping to leave Monday morning and climb/camp till Thursday night when I have to be back in Seattle. If I don't hear anything tonight, I'm heading out to Index tomorrow morning to aid City Park and then mess around Index/Leavenworth until Wednesday when I'm doing Outter Space with the girlfriend. So the point of all that is that I'm free this week Monday, tues and thurs and then every M-Thurs after that. Best way to reach me is my cell at 530-219-9140 although I don't get texts.
  6. Hi, I'm heading out to do the Tooth right now and was planning on camping at Exit 38 and finding a partner for tomorrow. I'm being dropped at Exit 38 (girlfriend needs to be back at work Thurs) so I would need a ride back to Seattle (Greenlake area) after climbing. If that works for you, give me a call and leave a message at 530-219-9140. Looking to lead some 5.11 sport. cheers, Ricky
  7. Pic of my girlfriend at the crux roof move. Nice crimper to the big 'ol horn.
  8. Yeah, that's the new one Rusty and I put up. I think it's one of the better ones at Exit 38 and would love to hear some peoples' feedback as it's my first time putting up a new climb and am fuzzy on the grading. I'd say between 5.10 and 11b/c. If I get a chance, I'll put up a picture of the climb.
  9. Hi, Just finishing a three week climbing trip to Tahoe and Yosemite and have decided I want to seriously get into aid and big wall climbing. I'm looking to buy the following: haul bag portaledge/rain fly pitons, peckers and hooks fifi hook hammer set of nuts pair of ascenders one aider gear sling I think that's it. I'll hopefully check it off as I acquire stuff. Also, I live near Greenlake in Seattle. Cheers, Ricky
  10. Climbing tomorrow so will probably leave Weds. or Thursday if anybody wants a ride. Will wait till Friday if you really need to.
  11. Hi, I'm driving down to California sometime soon...maybe tomorrow, depending on whether my partners wants to climb tues/weds. So I'd leave Thursday at the latest. Anybody want to head down with me and split gas? The reason I'm driving down is to drop off my dog with my mom (very lame) so I will have my dog up until Davis, CA. He doesn't do good cragging and can't walk far as he's got a limp so unless we find somewhere isolated (where people won't get mad as he barks/whine) and close to the road; climbing on the way down is, unfortunatly, out. But after I drop my dog, I'd be up for a couple of days in Yosemite or somewhere near by. We could stay at my house for a day or so and then it's only 3 or 4 hours to Yosemite and Tahoe (lover's leap, etc) is only 1.5 hours away. I can also drop somebody off anywhere between Seattle and Davis, CA It's probably easiest to just give me a call at 530-219-9140. cheers, Ricky
  12. Yay! Just wanted to report that getting a partner from here finally worked! Brianne (I forget her CC handle) somewhat randomly showed up and scared me as I was building a carin next to the river and we got some good climbing in Monday night and Tues. morning. Ended up coming back today but will probably head somewhere Thurs-Sat if anybody is interested. Somewhere near Leavenworth would be best as I'm meeting someone there Sunday.
  13. Hi, I sent a PM to a couple of people but I'm looking for M-F partners. I'm heading to Index tomorrow to aid/rope solo but would rather try some harder stuff with a partner. My plan was to climb tomorrow, maybe check out Mt. Persus Tues. and then climb till Weds night. If anybody is interested, give me a call or send me a text as I'm probably going to leave pretty soon. Number is 530-219-9140. I'm also looking to do more remote climbs, alpine, ice or anything in between. I'm free Thurs-Sat if anybody has something cool they need a partner for.
  14. Hi, I'm heading up to Index tomorrow to climb with my girlfriend but plan to stay the night and climb either at Index or Leavenworth Weds and Thurs. Looking to climb anything, long approaches, TRing, lead about 5.10 trad and 5.11 sport. I have to be back Thursday night for a soccer game at 7:30 though. If you can climb either day, shoot me a PM or text/call at 530-219-9140. Ricky
  15. I'm heading to Index right now and plan to rope solo a bit on GNS and maybe practice aid but I'd rather have a partner and do some harderish stuff. Then heading over to Leavenworth in the afternoon. If anybody needs a last minute partner for Index today or Leavenworth tomorrow, give me a call at 530-219-9140. Cheers, Ricky
  16. Just wondering what people thought about CAMP's Air Cams. Tried to find some info but no reviews came up. I just bought two 4.5's and just realized they are only rated at 10kn as opposed to 14kn for a similar C4. These cams are far cheaper (I got the 4.5's for $40 each) but obviously don't want to be using a shoddy cam.
  17. Looking to buy a decent pair of general mountaineering crampons that could do some steep ice if I ever get a chance. Maybe somebody with last year's model that upgraded. Same with snow shoes. Also looking for a cheapish snow shovel. Thanks!
  18. Looking to sell a brand new Grivel Matrix Tech Ice Tool. Tags still on- never used. Here's a link: http://www.mtntools.com/cat/alpineice/axes/grivelmatrixtech.htm Will post a pic of mine if requested but it's identical to the one in the link(obviously). I have the one without the adaze. Selling for $175. Not looking to ship it but can meet up anywhere in the Seattle area. Either call or text at 530-219-9140 or send me a PM.
  19. bummer. How about Weds? Will your plasma be regenerated enough to climb? I'll even pay for all the gas!
  20. I'm going to Exit 32 tomorrow. My girlfriend might come but if not, I'll be going alone and hopefully can meet someone to swap belays with. Or I'll just learn how to hope solo! Or have my dog belay me somehow. The weather is good so lets go climb! Oh yeah, my number is 530-219-9140 if you want to give me a call.
  21. PM sent! Lets go climb as our work schedules coincide perfectly.
  22. Hi, I just moved to Seattle and am anxious to get out on the rock with all this nice weather. I've been going to Stone Gardens the last couple of days but really want to explore some areas around Seattle-- maybe Index, Leavenworth, Gold Bar, etc. I haven't been to any of these places so I'm a newbie in that sense. I'm looking to lead about 10b/c sport and hopefully can follow up to about 12b/c (haven't lead a ton above the 10 level but imagine I can learn quick). I have a full rack of trad gear but would probably only be comfortable leading about 5.9. Just getting into the v6's bouldering. And the best part is I don't have a job right now! So if the weather is bad in the morning but clears up in the afternoon, I'm looking for some people who would want to get out and climb. Hopefully we can find some dry rock but if not, maybe some overhangs or at the least, just explore. Or maybe clean some new projects!!! I'm pumped up on Seattle right now and the more I read the more excited I get. There seems to be a huge number of sweet existing routes and an even crazier number of potential areas. I'm also looking to do road trips to pretty much anywhere. I have a hondo sedan that barely fits my crashpad but would be willing to drive if people want to squish. Particularly interested in checking out Squamish, Smith Rocks and maybe even Red Rocks if we can make it worth it and do a whole week. So if you are interested, PM me and I can give you my phone number and we can chat. Cheers, Ricky
