That makes sence. Have you heard anything about the CAMP Awaxs? I guess you can mod them so there L-less but you would still have the option of a leash on the left side. Do you think those would be good for a beginner or should i go with a more popular model?

Another gear question… I have been thinking about getting a pair ice tools (for both alpine and waterfall ice) but I can’t decide between leashless or not. I have only used a pair with leashes (older pair of BD Cobras) once and haven’t tested leashless tools. Would leashless tools be good for alpine? Muscle fatigue seems to be my main question though… Do your muscles give out faster without leashes? …Sorry for all the questions on here. I’m just really interested in ice. Its ‘cooler’ than rock.

So here is a noob question I have had for a while. I was on Baker last November and tried out a pair of Scarpa Invernos. It was my first time wearing them and they just about ate my feet with blisters which was sort of expected… I haven’t really worn them since but I was talking to someone who said he didn’t think that plastic boots could be worn in… Is it true that you can’t wear in plastics? I’d think you could be able to at least break in the removable liner.

Do you mind me asking with you dont like the black? I almost went with black but for some last minute reason i went with red. Thanks!

I just bought that same one from ebay! ... Just kidding. I have a partner in SAR with that pack. He doesnt use it for climbing but he likes the easy front access and it seems to be holding up fine. You should get it fitted at a place like REI before you post your bid to make sure it fits n' everything.

Ok so I’ve been looking at both the Rab Latok Jacket and the Rab Latok Alpine Jacket. Theres only about a $40 price difference between the two so I’m kind of stuck. Do you think one is better than the other? Has anyone used them? What do you think? I heard the eVent fabric was pretty nice. Thanks!
