  1. True, but I really like men...
  2. if i weren't so lazy i'd dig up the study probaby rather old though happiest: 1) single women 2) married men 3) single men 4) married women Do these studies offer any wisdom or meaning for an individual? Yeah, it's like how my married brother tells me to ENJOY my freedom because he is so jealous he has none. It's a good reminder to enjoy one's singlehood and live it up. Sounds like your brother simply has a crappy relationship. I wouldn't order your whole view of a partnership on that paradigm. Honestly, nearly everyone around me is in the midst of divorce right now - maybe it's the age group or just a really strange coincidence, but watching the fallout of so many marriages at the same time and all the shity consequences has really skewed my perspective.
  3. So I keep hearing! Is marriage good for anyone? I mean, seriously. Aside from the tax breaks? NO! don't do it! the tax breaks aren't worth it Nope, I have NO plan to EVER get married. Or even come close to it. Ever. Seriously. Do you simply have no planfor marriage? Or are you actively planning to go out of your way to never get married? Um...I have no plan nor desire to ever be married. I think it's a bassackwards institution that is set up to fail. I would consider "partnership" but it would have to be in an open fashion. How would one go out of one's way to never be married?
  4. Absolutely! As long as they are actually divorced and not just separated and saying they are divorced. Fuckers. Yeah, cuz men lying in order to get laid is only something they do when they are "getting divorced". Hmmm....true...so they're fuckers all the time?

  9. Heather Mills reportedly charged 10,000 pounds a night.... as a hooker. Based upon her $48.6M settlement for four years of marraige to Sir Paul, I figger she got ~$33,000 a night... Jeez...maybe I should start believing in marriage...
  10. Yep, you deserve a little whiskey for that project. Wow - nice snow, tho'!
  11. I dunno, I think of the many varieties of whiskey, Irish is the easiest to like/most accessible. Well, maybe Canadian whiskey is as well. Bourbon, scotch, and rye are all very different and much more of an "acquired taste". Bourbon makes me gag! I would agree with your comments (Irish is easiest to drink, Scotch is an acquired taste). There are a few ways to really bring out the good flavor of scotch - you can drink it on the rocks or even slightly diluted with water, depending on the type, and it actually will enhance the flavor. I actually attended a Johnny Walker "seminar" at the Playboy Mansion (no joke) on Scotch - origins, ways to drink it, blends, etc. Made me a convert...now I think there is nothing like a nice Scotch (or Scotsman ).

Edgar Casey predicted that in 2012 a massive continental break would occur making Nebraska beach front property (the new West Coast)...or something like that.
  13. No, but some guys are just as complicated as the stereotypical woman. I claim to not be one of those complicated women, of course
  14. we know which buttons to push we have more! where's that diagram? That stereotype can go either way...IMHO
  15. I was sitting toward the back on the right (brown jacket, black jeans). I recognized you, but you were with a buncha people after the show, and I was with friends who were ready to go...sorry...next time! Thanks again for posting about this - I'm glad I went and my friends were glad I invited them to go with me. I had other friends who wanted to come too, but there was actually another event last night in Yakima at Glenwood Square - can you imagine that - 2 cool events on one night in Yakima?! Maybe I should move back!
  16. Glenmorangie.....mmmmmm
  17. It was a great event - WOW - that guy has done some amazing things! Very inspiring - great pics! I liked that his first summit was in the Wind River Wilderness on a NOLS course - me too :-)
  18. Thanks! If I see you there (you posted your pic on that other thread), I'll say hi.
  19. Yep, John was always really knowledgable and nice. I'm a native Yakimaniac, but left for a loooong time, moved back like 6 years ago, and now in process of moving to Wenatchee. We prolly never met because I've been more of a backpacker/hiker/scrambler...the climbing thing is very new for me.
  20. I liked it better when it was HyperSpud Sports. Everytime I went into Mtn. Mojo seemed like the employees were high as a kite and couldn't answer my questions. I'm a crackimaniac, temporarily displaced to the Wet side. I'm going back to visit my stuff (and friends/family).
  21. Cool - I'm heading to Yak on Wednesday for a week, so I'll be there. Thanks for the post. So when did Mtn. Mojo become Alpine Sports? New owners?
  22. I 2nd Hotel Monaco - nice rooms and they will bring a pet goldfish to your room for during your stay, though not a good idea if your dog isn't goldfish friendly.
  23. Yeah...at first I thought he was obtuse, but I've become a fan.
  24. Yes, Mr. Economist, you are right - reminded me of the dream I used to have of running a Permaculture farm - great in theory, but in practice was just a LOT of work! It was a great experience attempting it, but it sure made me appreciate going to the grocery store to buy most of my goods rather than trying to grow everything on my own.
