  1. Hey guys and gals. My name is Dave S. and I am looking for certified avy instructor to help with a non profit climbing class in the skagit valley. This class will be two days long april 23-24, with one short lecture at skagit valley college if you can make it. We are not looking to certify these students, but just give them a first view at avy 101 which will hopefully send them to further educate themselves. We can pay this instructor, but being non-profit we are only able to afford a couple hundred dollars and meals:-) If you or anyone you know may be interested, please contact me at davegsalyer@gmail.com or 360 708 2633 seeing that I never login to this website these days. Thanks so much for the read, have a great day and better climbs.
  2. Thank You Lord Albert Winchester... I will tell your story to the few birds I dodge as I slink my way up yet another spring route on the great wall.... Snow Creek. Have Fun Peeps!
  3. Does anyone know whether snow creek wall has been closed yet?
  4. Thanks for all the replies, not looking for climbing partners anymore! Have Fun!

Table Rock has a large amount of bouldering to be had, fifteen min. from town. One hour from town is swan lake, more bouldering. If you have quickdraws/gear @ a partner, look into the black cliffs, once again fifteen min from town. Boise Climbs is the book you need, Rei has a lot of them. Have Fun
  6. The riverside inn is within walking distance to the hot-springs though. It should be pretty easy to bum a ride from the inn to the park every morning, lots of climbers stay there. Have a great time, feb. is a great time to be in the park, you never have to swing a tool:-)
  7. A pair of black diamond vipers with android leashes $300.00 A pair of grivel G-14 crampons for a size 8 shoe. (and yes you can adjust them, they are just the smaller size) $90.00 A feathered friends down coat with 800 fill, gore shell, red and black and pretty much brand new size small with removable hood. $295.00 So the equipment is in good but used shape. Seen four light ice climbing seasons, and have been well taken care of. The jacket has hardly been used. You could use it on 8000 meter peaks if you were interested, it is uber warm. So don't pm me or post info on ccc please. Call me on my cell phone. (360) 708-2633
  8. I am looking for a place to go sking I faintly remember hearing about once up the south skagit hwy, outside of Sedro-woolley. Does anyone have beta on this area? Or do you know of a similar area where I could get a good tour in with the possibility of some decent turns. I don't want to travel to far and would like to avoid driving up the baker hwy like I always do. Dave
  9. Went skiing today up at baker, on and around Mt. Herman. I saw alot of ice up there. Pan Dome falls is fat, as is East table three. Friends of mine skied over Herman Saddle yesterday and claim that death picnic is in, however we did not ski there today so I did not see for myself. There is alot of ice on and around Mt. Herman right now, and with the current forecast it shouldn't be going away, anytime soon. have fun
  10. Trent posted some pictures of great ice conditions near colonial peak. The ice at baker ski area is in quite well, not fat, but leadable. I wish I could be more helpful. If you get the time, go to Cody, It is awesome right now, the river, is already starting to freeze over. Good luck and have fun.
  11. the twin sisters have a large amount of tech to them given the right conditions. the west ridge of north twin, the south ridge of south twin, the north face of north twin, and a bunch of other stuff I have just looked at. conditions should be awesome by wednesday, if the temps drop again like they are supposed to. have fun
  12. As of 11/24 there is enough ice on hwy 20 for some excellent bouldering. From the entering skagit county sign, to past the hairpin there is quite a bit of ice. The alpine looks great also. Have fun.
  13. Looking for a ice climbing partner (bellingham seattle area) from Jan, through the end of this season. My wife and current partner will be enrolled in school making it difficult for her to get out as much as I would like. We will be in Ouray from middle of december to january if you would like to meet and climb together a bit.
