    Price drop $400 takes it
  2. Gear closet cleaning

Making room for new gear. Will try to post some pics later or msg me for pics: Bibler Bombshelter tent Purchased new and set up once in my backyard to test it out. Not seam-sealed yet. I've since purchased a larger Hilleberg tent so I need to get this one off of my shelf - $500 Easton Rimrock 3P Tent color "Grasshopper" http://www.backpacker.com/gear/tents/easton-mountain-products-rimrock-3p/ Used once - $150 Exped Downmat 7 with pump sack Black size short purchased in 2008 and used to sleep on the snow twice. Was plenty warm but I've moved on to an XTherm. $40 Gossamer gear bug canopy $10 Feathered Friends Volant Pants Pertex XT shell, size Medium. Still new in the bag with tags attached. They didn't fit so I thought maybe they would fit my wife when I could convince her to do some mountaineering. Turns out that's not gonna happen and they've been sitting on the shelf new in the bag for a year now... - $250 Marmot driclime windshirt - older version (2008?) with handwarmer pockets and vertical chest pocket zip color red size Medium. I bought this off of eBay after my beloved original Driclime windshirt died a horrible death the laundry. The newer Driclime windshirts no longer come with handwarmer pockets so I found this one New on ebay but never ended up using it. - $40 Marmot driclime jacket - hooded. I think it may be the Marmot Ether jacket. Size M in black. has handwarmer pockets. Used three times around town and spent a trip at the bottom of my pack - $45
  3. FS: Black Diamond Bombshelter tent

I caved and bought my Hilleberg. I still have this unused Bombshelter tent that has been set up once in my yard. Any takers at $500? If not, it goes on eBay soon but I'd rather sell local first
  4. This is the latest version with specs here: http://blackdiamondequipment.com/en/tents-and-bivys/bombshelter-tent-BD810010YELOALL1.html I bought this new earlier this year and set it up once in my yard for 15 minutes (to make sure nothing was missing). Tent has never been set up other than that and is not yet seam sealed. includes seam sealer tubes provided by BD. I decided I want something even bigger - probably a Hilleberg. Will also consider trade plus put up cash for a Nallo GT4. asking $675 obo
  5. Last minute : Looking for Rainier partner

if you arrive 18/19 are you looking to summit the same night? How many days? I'm open to getting in a last minute climb. My party fell apart at base camp (everyone was feeling sick) this year so I haven't been able to summit yet this year.
  6. Partner for Summer Cascade Climbs

I'm tempted to join you... camping at Lunch Counter is awesome on a clear day. I visited the climbing conditions report and it sounds like there is a road closure due to a fire that happened last year. http://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/giffordpinchot/alerts-notices/?cid=stelprdb5172538 There is an alternate approach hike that adds at least 5.5 miles to the approach. Are you doing it solo?
  7. Partner for Summer Cascade Climbs

I guess it depends on what your goals are. When I did it we camped at Lunch Counter and did a night attack kind of like Rainier. We roped up and did it as practice for Rainier which I climbed for the first time the following weekend. The bad thing about doing it that way was that everything was still frozen solid and the way down and I nearly killed myself trying to glissade. I haven't tried it as a day hike but I know people who have and I got the impression it wasn't that hard.
  8. Partner for Summer Cascade Climbs

I plan on getting up Adams this summer, no particular date in sight and I was thinking of doing it solo this time but I wouldn't mind company. When are you planning on going?
  9. lightweight backpack for Denali

thanks for all the great replies and advice guys! I'm probably going to go with RMI. I have a Rainier trip planned with them this summer (even though I've already been up Rainier multiple times with a private group) to see what they are like. I do hope to do some of the other 7 summits like Aconcagua and Vinsson so hopefully a 75L pack would cover them all.
  10. lightweight backpack for Denali

I am prepping for Denali and will probably end up using a guide service. The recommended pack size (per the guide service) is 90+L and I don't own anything in that range and don't really know if I'm going to need a 6# pack anyways. My go-to pack for Rainier is a 60L Granite Gear Meridian Nimbus and I think it weighs a little over 2# and comfortably carries around 45#. I would like to find a good lightweight pack that can comfortably carry 60 lbs or more but doesn't add 6 lbs itself. My gear volume just keeps getting smaller and smaller but if the gear list calls for 90L I'd like to at least find a lightweight compromise. Maybe something that weighs 4 lbs and is 75L? Any ideas or recommendations?
  11. Bibler Eldorado Tent 2-Door

Anyone? Price reduced to $500. I'd prefer to sell local before having to deal w. Ebay.
  12. Bibler Eldorado Tent 2-Door

Rare Bibler Eldorado 2-door model. I purchased this off of ebay last year with the intent of doing some mountaineering with it but it ended up sitting in a box next to my other 5 tents. I set it up once in my livingroom so I could inspect it and take pictures. Its in great shape and has taped seams. This is the green version that says Bibler on the side (newer models say Black Diamond). Comes loaded with vestibule, footprint, and Bibler attic. Asking price reduced $500 for all which includes shipping to conus. email drl_at_lockesystems.com for details
  13. Rainier or Adams

I might be able to get Thursday and Friday off, but I would need to be back home Saturday night. I'm fairly new to mountaineering but I've done both Adams and Rainier. I've never been up the DC route or been to Muir would love to go. You can email me at drl at lockesystems dot com.
  14. Rainier DC anytime from Aug 11th - 31st

I've never done DC route and I would love to go, but I heard that it is pretty much closed right now? Everyone is heading around to the other side?
