Cooper Spur as a descent route has some challenges. The upper part of the route is: fairly steep (50ish degrees), exposed (falling could easily mean a long/nasty fall to the Elliot glacier), tends to catch a lot of wind... It is a very direct way off the mountain if you completed a N. side route. Cheers, Rob
