  1. Old style cobras, used once. I bought these thinking I would do more climbing but skiing takes up most of my winter.
  2. See my post from summit post http://www.summitpost.org/phpBB3/closet-clean-out-patagonia-marmot-osprey-yakima-t56311.html Let me know if you have any questions.
  3. your doing it wrong man, you get rid of the job when that happens.
  4. I'm looking for a decent AT setup; skis around a 174-181, bindings need to fit a 31, and preferably with skins. If you have something that you are looking to get rid of please let me know; must be willing to ship as I am not currently in the area.
  5. someone has a few for sale on summitpost http://www.summitpost.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=41715
  6. going out of town till sunday...no replies till then
  7. Will hold tools, crampons, ice screws, whatever else you can fit. I bought it last year to check my tools on the plane but I never ended up flying anywhere. Tags are still attached, probably has some dust from the closet on it. Looking for $50 shipped in the US. Send me your e-mail and I will send you a few photos if you are interested.
  8. Those nice X's also mean that you got it at a REI scratch and dent sale and probably a hell of a deal on it.

  10. My new Mammut rope just came today and I took it out of the plastic wrapping and noticed a black ball on it. I pulled on it and it was a pin, like a sewing pin in one of the rope strands. I don't see any damage but I can't imagine that a sharp object sticking out out of my rope is a good thing...
  11. anyone have any experience with the Mammut Matterhorn? http://www.rei.com/product/751495?vcat=REI_SSHP_CLIMBING_TOC I got my REI rebate today which would pretty much cover it. I don't know if I want something that would stretch as much as that. REI seems to have a pretty shitty selection online.
  12. I know most will say that I need two ropes but thats too expensive for us poor starving cold college students. I need something that I could use for alpine, some TRing, and sport. I am not too worried about weight but would like something that is durable and will last me a few years. Anyone have any suggestions?
