  1. Hi, I searched the forums but couldn't find any suggestions on climbs in Leavenworth. I am looking for 5.8-5.9 introductory (trad/sport) climbs maybe some easy .10's if the ratings are like exit 38. We are heading up this weekend for a couple days climbing and some camping, so any suggestions/tips on camping would be appreciated as well. Thanks! Jason
  2. I just found that out. Ended up doing some sweet mixed snow and rock lines. Looks like it will be fun when it comes in and super close. Thanks though.
  3. Thanks.... has anyone seen if anything is in there?
  4. So Leavenworth in then? Sounds like a good bet. What is the approach like? Where is Banks Lake? Alex, good luck with the site, your work will be appreciated!!!
  5. Thanks for the link on the book! I checked wastateice earlier today and was bummed it wasn't up yet. Do you have an ETA on it being up?
  6. Thanks WC, Any one know if Alpental ice is in? Seems like its been fairly cold up there, but not for long. Any other suggestions? ice reports? I don't mind driving a couple hours...I just don't want to get skunked. Cheers, jason
  7. Hi, I'm new to the area (and fairly new to ice climbing) and am looking for an area close to Seattle that has some top ropeable or easily leadable ice. We're looking at going out for one or two days the 28-30th. Any suggestions on areas, climbs, what is in, etc. would be appreciated. Thanks, Jason
  8. Sharma is 6 ft. tall and looks about 165 now, so I don't think thats a very good comparison, but I think motivation and desire to climb hard far outweigh body type.
  9. That camp was on Lopez, and there is climbing on what is now Paul Allen's property, which used to be Camp Nor'Wester. The camp had two climbing areas, both small with under 10 routes each. One was a chosspile with some easy stuff behind the cooks cabin. The other had some harder routes on what I recall was quality rock. I haven't been there in over 17 years, but both cliffs were around 30-40 feet tall.
  10. I was planning on hitting up 38 today, but it rained a bit last night. Will any routes be dry? Thanks, Jason
