  1. I live there, and there is no snow in town right now. We climbed Borah 2 weeks ago and there was a good deal up there already and probably a lot more now. I climbed Scout Mountain on Saturday and the conditions were still great... only at the very top did we find ourselves punching holes...while following giant moose tracks! Massacre Rocks is only a little south of town too. For reason it is much toastier there than anywhere else in the area. Have fun!
  2. Some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen! I can only imagine that it was even more amazing in person.
  3. I would have taken 100+ frames too! Beautiful pictures! Nice work!

  14. Hi, I'm looking to buy a few softshell and hardshell jackets for my brothers. They have never been the "outdoorsy" types, but with an extended backpacking trip in the near future, suddenly they are concerned that the hot pink and purple Helly Hansen jackets (matching) might not cut it. So... if anyone has any jackets (size large) that they are looking to get rid of and can help these "pansies" out...send me a P.M. Thanks!
  15. I'm looking to buy a stove to use in South America...Argentina, Chile, Patagonia... Does anyone have a recommendation on one that has worked well for them? Was one type of fuel more accessible than another? I am considering the Whisperlite...(good or bad on this one???) Thanks!
  16. Holy smokes! I heard it fall from the other side of the rock. I'm glad everyone is okay...with all the yelling I was worried.
  17. Nice TR. Thinking about venturing up this route for the first time...mainly due to this place... "Pineapple Pass." Sounds like heaven to me! Great pictures!

  20. I was looking for this thread the other day... Bill, I saw some more oak by the traverse wall the other day too. If you don't get to it, I'll take it out. Geoff, I'll try to make it Thurday...I'll let you know. (hope you feel better TR?)
  21. Great report! Sounds like you had a blast, and thanks for helping start my day out right: smiling and laughing all the way through the read...loved the bell/Pavlov reference. Nice job!
