Been on the Island for ten years and can't count the number of times I've been speeding back from forays in the Cascades only to miss the last boat thereby having the good pleasure of a 3 hour nap until the next morning. IMO whatever charm the island had is rapidly, err, transforming in a Lexus/lawyery sort of way and the ferry situ is completely anathema to easy climbing. Best crag is probably in my garage.

Wondering if anybody has any info on Vinemale in the Pyrennes. Going to be there in July and am looking at the classic route on the north face. Thanks
