  1. Thanks. I spoke too soon. Previously I had only seen these triggers but with a little looking I found these
  2. That looks like the Grivel "Slider" in the bottom two pics?
  3. uh, to get the hell away from people who believe in santa claus, easter bunnies, faces appearing in tortillas and big guys in bathrobes that bestride the cosmos yet still bother to get involved in the intrigues of ants that said, crossing under huge icefalls and hearing rocks fall like artillery during the night never fails to lever out a few vestiges of primitive superstition from my divinely-wrought brain-jelly :lmao:Thanks. I needed that.
  4. Sorry if I was obtuse. I was being terminology geek. Yes, there is a formidable crack at the base of this route in winter some years. I did not encounter it this trip.
  5. True; no visible schrund, glide crack, moat... link
  6. Trip: Chair - NF Date: 1/25/2008 Trip Report: Little late but WTH Bit thinner than last time I was there (2/2006)
  7. When where you told this? The eTrex Vista HCx has a setup option to designate lithium or alkaline.
  8. correction, Christians don't sell. They point the way. All we can do is point, it's other people's choices if they want to listen, not ours. Jesus is not a product. He is God in flesh, and took Pink's place on the cross, as all of us. We all deserve what we should get, and I deserve it more than any of you, thank God he is graceful. "THE" Way. No arrogance there.
  9. don, have you worked with the g12 yet? comments?
  10. Scuffs on lower shell. Otherwise good condition. Shell size 27.5/28, sole 311mm. $200
  11. Intermittent in dense trees (Cascades approach). Reliable in volcano whiteout.
  12. I own and like the VistaC. Checked out the 60CSx in store and was surprised to see aquisition indoors. My VistaC doesn't do that. The Vista is, as you probably know, lighter and smaller.
  13. "real", "one", "here"; man, that's some deep shit.
  14. I am god. Lord of everything. Go ahead and prove me wrong.
  15. Having used multiple units in a variety of applications, I find the compass to be a huge advantage. You don't need it, it just makes things easier. The altimeter on my Vista C works well. The compass can be turned off to save power. I am gear nerd.
