Used Gregory Makalu Pro backpack - size large - pack is in absolutely great condition. Note, however, that shoulder harness has been hand-modified to work in the same manner as McHale's bypass harnesses do (at the very worst, if you don't like the setup, you could simply get a new harness). I have a brand new shiny pair of Nuptses in 45.5 that I now have to get rid of (originally intended to keep this pair but now can't). They have never been worn and are in perfect condition. I wear a street shoe of US 10.5 and they appear to fit me rather well (depending, of course, on sock, liner and insole preferences). If you buy soon, I'll throw in the La Sportiva box for free!!! Anyone interested in a Mountain Hardwear Torch (NWT), size mens med, color lava that I just got from Altrec - $125 shipped (cont US)? Cool softshell, but just a tad small on me - and I prefer the Haglofs softshell I just got from STP. It heads back to Altrec early next week unless someone wants it. [NOTE - JACKET MAY ALREADY BE SOLD TO GREENEGGS PER HIS REQUEST BELOW...] Also have an Arc'Teryx RT45 in size small and in a yellowish/beigish color. In excellent shape, having been used VERY sparingly over the past year and half or so. It's also got a bit of good mountaineering karma associated with it, as it's been to the top of Ecuador's El Altar (Obispo) and Chimborazo. This is the one they firesold on SAC a couple years ago for next to nothing. I'll shoot it to someone for $50 (which is, I think, just about what I paid for it - a nice deal for both me and you). It's probably worth noting that even though the pack is sized as a small, I found that I, as a 5'11" guy could use it fairly comfortably. If anyone happens to get an extra pair at a local REI, I'd be more than happy to take them off your hands for what you spend plus a case of bad beer or something...surprisingly, they don't stock ice tools here in our Charlotte, NC REI.

Sarkens - every time. I own a pair of Sarkens and a pair of Sabretooths(teeth). You can have the BD's for $20 plus shipping if you want them. They've been used for a week of alpine climbing and are not likely to ever be used again.

If you haven't checked their website yet, Sierra Trading Post (sierratradingpost.com) often has the type of boots you're looking for. Very hit or miss, but if you find something, you're unlikely to be able to beat their price (or their very fair and unquestioning return policy). Good luck.

I just know deep down in my heart that there is someone out there who wants to sell a noobish ice climber a pair of new or used (in decent condition) BD Vipers (preferably with Android leashes - either Viper-specific or not) or a pair of CM/Petzl Quarks (preferrably with Clippers) for a really really good price.
