  1. For the finger traverse, once you come out of the notch just work your way along the east side of the ridge crest and follow the line of least resistance (ledges, short chimneys, etc). There are even cairns in places. You're probably never more than 50 feet below the ridge crest. The finger traverse seems like the natural line to take once through the E-W notch--just stay high.
  2. I took a daytrip to Royal Basin to check out the area. It looked to me like the best rock would be on the S. face of Johnson or Clark. I didn't venture up into Suprise Basin so I was wondering how clean the rock is and if it protects well (cracks, horns). Has anybody climbed there? Is the book soft on the ratings? How many pitches can you get out of the longer climbs?
  3. I'm up for alpine, crag, or snow. PM if you have an idea or are interested.
  4. Does anybody want to be a ropegun on NR Stuart?--the gendarme in particular. Would prefer one push. PM if interested.
  5. What is NE face rated? I can't find anything on summit post or TR's for it. I too am looking for Sun-Mon, willing to lead on 5.7, follow 5.9. Was thinking about Temple Ridge climbs, will check PM's until 3pm Friday. If you still need a partner call 360-337-7943; please leave a message if not there. I am in Bremerton. --Jacob
  6. I am comfortable leading 5.7/ following 5.9; would prefer Alpine this weekend. It looks like C. Cascades best weather this weekend (Stuart? / Enchantments?). Also W. Arete Constance if you are on Olympic Peninsula. Open to suggestions. Checking PM’s until 4pm Fri. 360-337-7943 after 4pm.
  7. Interested in Forbidden Pk, West Ridge. I am off sat & sun.
  8. I'm in the same boat, have lead up to 5.8. PM me if interested.
  9. I would like to visit Washington Pass this weekend, try some sub 5.9 routes. Would like to climb saturday & sunday, are you avail for overnight? Prepared to leave this evening.
