Well You know I was up there last year for the fest climbing at Duty I think and that was nice, butts when we made it back to the road It was a zoo. My bitch is the over stomping of the canyon and some of the attitudes You run in to out there. The old I'm someone and Your not thing. Went up there the next day and picked up three bags of trash. Weekends I get way off the road now or go to those places no one knows about yet. Weekdays You can climb on what you want Looked at Castle on Saturday and counted 8 people on two or three routes, Outer Space is a great weekday Climb have not been there this year yet, My last trip up that was a weekday left the office at 9am was back to work at 3pm. I think the key is to climb the Good routes and stay of the easy or over used ones. Over all the Icicle Rocks ! and Timmy was nice to talk with.

After living next door to the place for over 13 years I can say that I enjoy going there when it is empty, its nice to have the place to yourself. As for climbing during the off months just dont park on the road and keep a low profile and you will be fine. Climbing there when its closed is the best time to climb there. I went 10 years with at least 1 pitch there every month. My first Climb there was in 78 or 79 my last was 2 weeks ago with one of the kid'os.

I enjoy the Icicle on the weekdays, dont get me wrong. There is no place I would rather be, on the weekends one has to work hard to avoid the masses that stumble around thinking there hard core top ropers or did that Hard problem thing. I watched alot of people up there last year for this event who dont know how to pick up there own trash and think thay own the place. Just dont care to see the place treated that way ! have some respect and clean up your mess and dont forget to leave booty on the routes !

Wont see me there. The canyon just wont be the same, good reason to go to Cabo and come back when everyone has gone home. But have fun all and dont fall !

Yeah that was Rusty he is a Old Dog and wanted a break. He likes to just watch most of the time, I tried to get him to follow me up Red Tide but he was not into it that day, to bad after laps at Special Spot and Clems he was tired. Sorry about the turds on the way over to Special Spot if anyone ran into them.

From what I hear a little shoulder injury, But thats 2nd hand from a ambulance dude who heard it toned out, I hear also the hospital had a walk in with a broken leg of some sort. With well over one hundred cars parked along the road on Sunday its bound to happen! Falling numbers ?

So here is the poop, I will be heading out on the night of March 8th from Seattle Town. I will be headed to Vegas for two days of fun and then going to J-Tree the 10th for a week of climbing, looking for someone to join in who is into climbing everyday down there. I have made the trip every spring now for a few years and kind of know my way around there a little. PM me for more info and we can talk routes and grades to see if we click.

Went up and did the central flow on Hubba on Sunday. Seemed FAT there was some drip action going on. Busy up there 3 other parties hanging around, with one above us just knocking down all kinds of chunks. Round trip from the homestead was 6 hours. the weather was great !

Now its cold ! the Icicle Ice will be FAT this weekend, You all better get up and out there and do somthing before its gone !
