  6. hmmm... let me see if I can fix it.
  7. store.usgs.gov Which ones are you guys getting for mountaineering? Or just to put up on the wall? Tons of maps on sale.
  8. While the FF/WM bags are the best of the best (I prefer FF), if you are on a tight budget you really should try to Stoic Somnus 30. Stoic is Backcountry.com's house brand, and while some of their stuff is hit and miss; I really like the sleeping bag. 850+ fill down, mine weighs around 1 lb. 4 oz. Brand name shell fabric... and the best thing about it is the price. I paid $125. If you look around long enough you should find it around that price. FF is a great bag, and if you really take good care of your gear, FF bags will last a long time. But, if you are under a tight budget constraint, check out the stoic somnus.
  9. $175 Ok... these have been mounted twice... once for alpine binders (previous owner) and once for dynafits at around 302 bsl. (Front three holes only on dynafits... long story) They are well loved and have the scratches on the base to prove it. No core shots and with a good grind and wax, they should be good to go. They come with basically new g3 alpinist skins. I know these are pretty old skis, but they still have quite a following around here as spring mountaineering skis. (I can post pics, once I figure out how)
  10. Color: Black Brand new in box. Bought these for a friend a few years ago, and he never used them. Now he wants them gone. Great boots for Cascade volcano slogs. $150
  11. Ok. General consensus is as follows. 1. I'll test them for you! 2. You should be fine 3. They are nasty anyways, just eat them up. :-) Sounds good. Thanks all.
  12. ok... just knocked one back. french vanilla. A little wonky tasting... not like they tasted great in the first place. Feels a little thinner in consistency... no hard crunchy stuff. I will update this with every detail, over the next day or so. Yep. Every detail.
  13. hmmm... 4 years past expiration might ferment it. We will have to see.
  14. Ok... so I was clearing out my gear closet, and found three boxes of expired gu gel. (expired June of 2008). The responsible part of me says to just throw this away, but the cheap side of me says to use them up. So, I need the advice of the collective... would you use it?
  15. probably sleeping in it. nice price on a great bag.
