  1. dude, he could not find a map because he was in NY. I am sure they picked one up at REI when they picked up the other gear they purchased. There are plenty of maps of hood here in PDX. There are no actual maps out there with the routes drawn on them. There not trails to the top, just routes. Books will give some idea of routes by drawing it on a photo or in a dinky map in the book. Part of the fun of climbing, is route finding. BTW nothing can be gained here in spray but a ton of laughs. It is spray dude, get over the Hood thing. It happened, shit happens. Not a damn thing to learn here.

    Hello!

Hi folks!! I have been lurking here for years. I learn a lot from you folks. Thanks. I have always been hesitant to post. Figured it was time to dive in and introduce myself. Been scrambling all over the country for 15 years and spent a few years in crags of NH in the 90's. This year I stepped things up and did some technical alpine stuff. Been a tough year dealing with new fears and doubts I have never dealt with before. Backed down on several peaks (learning curve ). But, I loved every second of it!!! Any ways, no better way to introduce my self than with some mountain porn. (BTW the quality sucks. You Tube sucks the quality right out of images...sorry. If you want to see the better quality stuff then pop by sp profile page.) Hope to meet up with some of you folks in the future! Now for the porn... Slide show of all my trips in 2006 (sans trips with my hubby and 3 yr old son) rJHMP3073Y8 Black peak video: 0sv_Xsh58mY Ingalls video: qU2N5l-wAH8 Happy new year folks! Here's to good climbing in 2007! P.S. Like the new make over to the site!
  4. I was across the valley in the Elkhorns last weekend. There was about 2' of powder with a thin breakable crust on top. On top of that was about 5+ inches of dry powder. Winds had blown most of that 5 inches into drifts at around 7500'. I would imagine conditions are close to the same in the Wallowas. I bet there is more there due to elevation and location. Plus this week more has come down. Good luck.
  5. there are no fucking huts above 6000' you fucking knit wit. Maybe go to Summit post and look up mt hood and get to know the mountain before spewing off about shit you don't know. Learn then talk....duh! oops there I go again.....shit I have no control
  6. NWHikers yeah but pacifist...Nah. Many sides to me the folks there have never seen. I can play both ways here is to all you folks trying to get rid of the flies in the house. Damn flies need some swatting.
  7. to molly, shitshit, no sense, paul fuck wad, and all the other voyeurs and speculators. Here is a special video you can watch over and over. Just add poor weather, snow, ice tools, and pretend it is on Hood and the cable is not attached to these SAR folks. Hopefully this will satisfy your odd case of "I WANT TO WATCH AND KNOW" sick huh? Shit happens out there all the time. No need to beat a dead climbers. We will never know how or why. fellow climbers. sorry, I know I don't post here much but I figured maybe this video would give them something else to fixate on. doubt it though....
  8. Kit Tim/spotly is a great guy and good climber. I climbed my first alpine tech climb on his lead. You will not regret hooking up with him. Go for it you will love it!!
