Agreed - last Thursday, I went for a day hike up Cho Oyu (in my new Vibram toe-less sandals). Some asshole didn't pick up his dog's shit - only 50 yards up the trail! So... I've decided to start a non-profit to put Mutt Mitt doggie poo disposal kiosks at all the major Himalaya trailheads. Hopefully we'll receive enough donations to work down to the lesser Karakoram and Andes as well. Stay tuned for our "Forgot Your Leash? Nice... I've been a big Acme user and was disappointed when they dropped the MyTopo tiles. Honestly, yours seem to load a lot faster. One thing I really like about Acme is the centered crosshairs.

Cool. We did the Emmons on the morning of 7th, summited around 8:30 and musta just missed crossing paths... saw you descending / traversing from the cap to the "superhighway".

I'm looking for a 40L (roughly) pack for general winter mountaineering - with enough gadgets/gizmos to hold skis/snowshoes/poles, a shovel, etc. Only problem, I need something that will fit a tall (22 inch +) torso. Haven't been able to find the right one yet - either they're meant for shorter people, or don't have enough external strappage, etc. Any suggestions?
