  1. To everyone who has signed up already, THANK YOU! I just sent an email to you with a recipe for Chia, Quinoa & Oat Energy Bars that you can make today to take on the trail this weekend. (Something to tide you over until the book is ready...) If you'd like the recipe, too, but aren't signed up yet, you can add your name to the list and get a copy of the recipe emailed to you. Just click visit this page: https://app.convertkit.com/landing_pages/1951.
  2. Nervous, because it's hard to put so much effort into something and hope that others will see value! Thanks for the support :-) Thanks for the tip. I think I know how to change that!
  3. The idea of sharing this makes me totally nervous, but here goes... I've been teaching a seminar on creating home-cooked, just-add-water backpacking meals for The Mountaineers for four years. I'm finally compiling all of the tips and techniques and recipes from the seminar into a book. If you're interested in finding out when the guide is ready later this summer, please sign up here! Also, if you know someone else who might be interested, I would be so grateful if you passed the link on to them, too! (Whew!)
  4. So glad to hear that you and your belayer are on the mend! I was teaching students that weekend. For many of them, it was their first outing on real rock. The helicopter rescue was a sobering wake up call. We are all looking forward to learning from your experience when you have the time and details to share. In the mean time, I'm sending all sorts of good energy your way for a speedy and uncomplicated recovery.
  5. I'm selling my M-Rock camera carrying collection, including a padded SLR bag (fits my Canon SLR with 100mm zoom lens), two pouches for larger zoom lenses or external flashes, one smaller pouch for filters, extra memory cards, batteries, etc., and modular hip belt with pockets for change/memory cards and attachment points for the bag and pouches. The pieces can be used together as a set. They have simple attachments that could also be used on a backpack hip belt or side strap. Originally, the setup cost approx. $200. I'm asking $50. Shipping, if you do not want to come to Kirkland to pick it up, would be an additional $7. It's in great condition, I just haven't been using it. Let me know if you have any questions! -Carry
