  3. kikapu is a good bike. they use the fox rear shock which has the propedal lockout..which works okay. there are extremely minor differences in the kikapu in the last 3 years, paint job and they change the name quite often.
  4. this happend in november. why is it big news now?
  5. i would check out the madrock or evolv shoe line b4 throwing down the money on sportiva or 5.10s. 5.10s inherrently have shoddy craftmanship and will wear faster then the knees of dirtyharry's pants. http://www.madrockclimbing.com/ http://www.evolvesports.com/index.htm
  6. barryovox is way overkill, almost all the functions are pointless. tracker or the f1 are the standards. i also have an sos which works quite well.

  9. i think i would rather go climbing or skiing instead of trying to fight with r.e&i
  10. today's snow is great. 6700ft at the house we have 10" of about 6%.
  11. i am confused about the patagucci remarks?
  12. seems to me that buddy is talking about b/c skiing and not probing for crevasses...ever waded thru any avy debris, real firm. we could talk about as an avy accelerates it heats the snow crystals with friction and then as it slows and stops refreezes and bonds real well creating a real firm condition. in the sierra we call them bergschrunds.
  13. cams do make the climber, climbing does.
  14. dave try to atlesat link to a decent/non-mega-biased webstite.
  15. soda should work plark..off piste up here right now is challenging. i would almost recommend going to boreal, park at the pac crest trailhead and and then ascend boreal ridge towards donner ski ranch (south).once you reach the top you can cruise down "sunrise blvd" pretty close to the car.
  16. for comprehensive to cover stolen property in your vehicle, it needs to securely attached to the vehicle. all personal property will have to be claimed under homeowners/renters insurance.
  17. there are only a few people here quilfied enough to use anything other then the skoolbag. other then that i think most cc users just need to get their laptop and lunch to and from the office without it getting wet. send one to me and i will let you know what i think.
  18. i skied knee deep powder the last 3 days outside of bridgeport, ca.
