  1. Havn't climbed on the Bulnes, but I would love to. For a nice hotel, guides, jeep shuttle or just a great roast goat after your climb contact Casa Cipriano in Sotres de Cabrales. phone: 985 94 50 94 email: casacipriano@fade.es And post a TR!
  2. Just got down from our own slog. On top by 9:00 and found it pretty mushy...did mashed potato eights and started a few surface sloughs. Great day all in all and could still ski car door to car door. We need some cooler nights,
  3. I watched the start of the Sela Ronda race in the Dolomites this year...9000 ft of rando climbing and descending in the night, 600 entries, $2000 prize, pretty cool event. The green monster was the boot of choice, but if they let them use xc skating boots it I'm sure they would all switch. The skiing was really easy. For tougher skiing, those boots might be a bit floppy.
  4. I had a an Avocet and used it skiing and on a trip to Nepal. I liked it, but when it it broke Avocets were out of stock for a spell so I switched to a big ugly Suunto. It is indeed big but it is light and reliable. I don't know how to use 90% of the functions but the ones I use have worked flawlessly for years, and you can change the battery without taking it to a dealer, something that seemed absurd in the avocet. A friend of mine asked me to unload a Suunto x3 HR for him on ebay (sponsored uberjock) anyone interested?
  5. I have a pair of light rear entry boots I picked up for $3.50 at a garage sale. I was keeping for the Bend Pole Pedal Paddle race. Three time Olympic cross country skier Justin Wadsworth borrowed them for Sea to Ski. Anyone can find a piece of crap ski boot, but AT boots are expensive.
