  1. Nice Picture russ . The condidtions sure do change from year to year and month to month. When we climbed it last month it was simply consolidated snow for the entirety of the chute. Placed a couple of pickets along the way but it never felt technical. The ice-fall was extremely active though, which gave us a good adrenaline rush while trying to dodge huge rolling ice blocks.
  2. Is the Fuhrer Finger really less technical than the Kautz Glacier route?
  3. Just climbed Kautz Glacier last week. Good step up from DC route, but objective hazard is very high. The Kautz ice cliff rained down on us twice between 2am and 3am, once before we entered the chute and once while we were in it. Luckily we were able to get out its way. Be careful and move fast.
