  1. Dude, i wasn't trying to talk shit, pistolhorse. I know you're nerdy and uncool. You don't have to defend yourself here, we're all friends. Has anyone seen my 20 sided die (aka my icosahedron) ?
  2. If you are going to try to cut tent poles, expent huge shotcord related headaches. When it comes time to cut, though, I'd reccomend using one of those pizza-wheeled tubing cutters. Will work well and quickly and accurately and will leave a nice, clean, professional looking cut with nothing to snag your fabric on.
  3. There is one clear answer... Dave Page, Cobler. He's the man, been all over, resoled about a million pairs of climbing shoes. $30. Best job possible. www.davepagecobbler.com located in ballard
  4. Is besmirch even a word? I don't know, and I don't care. And it's that not caring that makes me so uber kewl. And I love vantage, and I don't care what you think. I love vantage, I love crumbling rock and toppling columns and dead climbers, and vantage loves me. We're a family. So go piss and moan about your pathetic, meaningless, emplty little grey lives somewhere else.
  5. I'm aware that vantage is the sight of ongoing erosion. Rocks fall. Wear a helmet. Still though, how many thousands pass through that place unscathed for every person that gets injured. And Distel, even though you're way more 'core than I am, I've climbing years longer than you and I still feel the same way I did when I first went there. That place is beautiful.
  6. I personally think vantage is great. Beautiful landscape, dry, good concentration of climbs, that descent where the row of columns has separated... cmon guys, you know you love that choss pile!
  7. yeah, exactly like that! now i understand. you can delete this thread now, if ya like.

    What

my wrist, remember? I forced myself to do some pullups last night and I am typing one handed today
  9. I've used other message boards where in the "My home" area there would be a list of my recent posts. Having such a thing here would make it easier to have ongoing conversations, becuase i wouldn't be spending time trying to figure out where I made some comment.

  11. that's a good photo... makes my terraserver pic look like crap.
  12. i'm sorry, but it would only cost about $1.50 to drop a carribiner in a bubble mailer and send it off...
  13. wow i bet they are just really motivate to help people fuck with each other
  14. I use it cause i'm a boatbuilder and it IS the best thing for epoxy/wood laminations. I love it, and it loves me. And yes, it is flammable. I just burned some to prove it to myself. And no, when you look at price per gallon, it's not expensive. Also,i've used it down to near freezing and it does get yellowish and viscous at low temperatures but it will cure completely and it will be strong.
  15. Anyone been following this thing? First, the government commited some blatant fraud to defeat the opposition candidate. Then, a month of continuous, peaceful protests in the streets of Kiev prompted the supremem court to call another election. Now, the opposition candidate has been poisened with dioxin and is severly sick. This election would make a good movie or something. Dioxin poisoning sucks.

  17. yeah, factors can be a bitch
  18. Dude, I'm sorry that people are so retarded. I totally support your desire to aid up trees in the rain. It's fun, it makes no sense, and its fun... I've done shit like this before and will do it many times again becuase it's fun. He wasn't bragging about how good his climbing ethics were, he was telling us about the fun thing he did. Leave him alone. corvallisclimb, keep up the good times.
  19. Iunno, is it? Did he have the sattelite photos? Also, have you guys ever gone exploring up there? I know a lot of people have gone to the boulders on the beach, but what about up in there? It's a cool place to go walk around, regardless of climbing. It's like larrabee, but more rugged and 3 dimensional with like noone around at all.
  20. Shortly before leaving bellingham I went scouting around for rock and found some. It's down on chuckanut, in that area near where the trestle cuts across that bay. You park at a park at area C and then walk north west along the shore. there's a kind of well known boulder area at area B, and then in the woods of area C there is an abundance of rock, with the potential for some bouldering and even some taller TR stuff. There's this one right hand overhanging arete that really interests me. Anyway, is anyone familiar with this area? Is this area old news?
