  12. Hi folks, I'm just buying my first pair of telemark boots (yea!). The T2s fit in width and volume - now just struggling with the size. Have been doing shell fits first as I know baking the liners can give me the final fit. The 27.0s give me about 1.5 finger widths behind boots. The 27.5 give me about a 2.0 finger widths. (minus/plus a wee bit in both cases). My question: would you go with the larger or smaller size? If so, any reasoning would be helpful. Thanks, tom
  13. Anyone skied Bachelor yet this season? We'd like to try to sneak in a quick trip there this weekend and wanted to know how things are. thanks.
  14. Okay, so the question is what shell pants work for both skiing in the bc and at the hill? I've been looking at the Cloudveil pants, the Pattygo Primos and Stretch Elements, and the Arcteryx Theta SK. Anyone have any experience with any/all?
  15. Used only twice - perfect condition. Super sweet poles, but picked up a pair of other poles as part of a closeout deal; like the others more so this is a deal for someone. They sell new for $99; will sell for $60. These are size 48 - 56 inches. Write to: beartooth52@yahoo.com if interested. Location: Seattle area (Kent).
  16. I checked the archives first, so if this came up and I missed it - sorry. But, I'm looking to get skins for my shiny new BD Crossbows and my wife's BD Arc Angels. Been reading company literature (i.e, propaganda), various online retailers, and decided to go to the source of all wisdom (Cascade Climbers). Any opinions on the two and which work "best" - i.e. stay on the ski, don't pop off, durability, glue quality, etc. Thanks for any feedback.
  17. Hi, I need to get some repair work done on my AT skis; a bit of epoxy repair needed on the sidewall. In addition, I'd like to get a thorough tuneup done. Any recommendations on who does the best work locally? Some shops are inconsistent or don't seem to go much beyond minimum required. Thanks.
  18. Just to add to the thread, in researching the Naxo's, I heard back from the owner of TheBackCountry.net, who said they had a lot of problems with the heel clamp breaking due to boot strike when locking in; his recommendation was the Freeride.
