  1. I left CO last week. It's been warm there for most of March. How is the ice in BC looking? I'm not going to be there for a while so I'm not planning on climbing any WI. Just curious.
  2. My friend ordered some seeds from Amsterdam. Wood pussy #1.
  3. I snowboarded and slowshoed for 10 yrs. before switching to skis. Skis rule, no question.
  4. One of the VP's at my company sent an email to everyone talking about all of the "boozers" at work who would be milking the open bar at the Xmas party. Oops! He also sent out one of those 'recall' messages through outlook, but they don't delete the original.
  5. Do you think that they come with anti-bots?
  6. I've always used pieces of cord to make V-thread anchors in WI. I was wondering if there was any difference for AI. Is it better to use 1/2" webbing or is cord OK?
  7. Thanks Dru. I really don't care to live downtown... not opposed to it either. Just somewhere that's got access to food stores, restaurants and a gym (climbing gym is ideal). I just want to get a feel for the city prior to going there. I plan on spending a good ammount of time looking.
  8. If I was going to live in Vancouver, BC what areas of the city are good/bad and what are the typical rental prices for a 1 bdm apt or a room in a house? Haven't had much luck with all of the real estate company sponsored web sites. THX
  9. The photos are killing me. I'm packng my shyte and moving ASAP. There are no glaciers in CO.
  10. Winter is almost over in CO and I'm itching to head to the land of the volcanos and big glaciers. I work from home so I can live wherever I want. Right now I'm thinking that Bend has the best access to (in order of importance) mountaineering, spring skiing, rock and social life. My question... where would you go if you were moving to the N West?
  11. After wintering in Ouray I'm thinking about moving to Bend. I've visited and although it seems like there is a little unchecked urban sprawl I think it's a super sweet place. I have one question. Are there any single girls there? There's zeeeeeero in Ouray.
  12. I would say is to at least swing as many tools as possible before buying. They are way too expensive to get stuck wishing that you had a different set. That said. I love the Charlet Quarks. They swing way better than any other tool... for me. I found the BDs to feel 'dead' when placing them.

    Weird Shasta

Has any one heard of the Dalai Lama saying that Shasta satisfies all 12 requirements for being a spirtual center? I've heard this but never been able to verify.
  14. I helped set up the tents for the fest yesterday and the park was packed at 9am. I'm not planning on climbing there much for a while. There is sure to be lots of cool stuff to demo though.
  15. I'm going to Mammoth Jan 31 - Feb 7. I would like to find some climbing partners for Lee Vining or June lake WI climbing.
  16. It's a sweet line. I went part way up last year before dropping into avy gulch. I ended up summiting via the gulch, but the casaval ridge has been in my brain since then. I'm going to try to do a trip to shasta in early April. I was thinking of the Whitney glacier, but the casaval might be fun too.
