Hey Group- What commands do you need to type to insert a photo directly to the body of the text? I tried the , but you still need to click on the link. I will eventually figure out myself, but a little hint would be faster. Thanks
  10. Nice, Alex Did a lot of hiking around Idyllwild, CA with hubby. Also managed to do a nice easy route on Tahquitz Rock.
  11. Not with birds, but down here around San Diego, we have seasonal closures for a few crags the first part of the year due to sensitive raptor habitat. And, the FS is serious about enforcing the closures--$10,000 fine. I believe that closures are there for reasons...and should/need to be respected... uhm... what do you think a raptor is? Oh, I am a dork... Raptor is a raptor and, it is a bird. I was thinking also about closures to protect the raptiles that we have down here. Raptor, raptile....almost the same thing, eh? My standard disclaimer: English is not my native language. Now I am humiliated in front of the whole world, and will cry for the rest of the day

  16. Yeah, he is a crazy one of a Polack. Always enjoy reading about his trips. And Tatras (both on the Polish and Slovakian side)
  17. Good points, everyone. Thanks! Music, trail running, mixing routes, also running up stairs or just doing uphills Also what keeps me going is to try find loop runs, as I completely despise there-and-back runs. I definitely have to know either how far or how long I am running before I start because I just can't do it like Forrest when he decides that he just feels like running. And, I need to run alone as I get mad when I go with someone who is faster and keeps yepping when I not doing all that well, or even worse going with someone slower to deliberately prolong the suffer fest. My motivation is especially low on days after a bad run....but then once I start running again, it doesn't feel all that bad.
  18. For me, running is the most effective cardio workout to stay in shape, even though it is my least favorite. What do you do to keep yourself motivated to keep running consistently? I am one of those who think about running as a chore, and usually run 3 to 4 days a week for 3 weeks, then don't run for next 2 weeks and lose most of endurance I have built up. Thanks
  19. Hey CG33. I live in SD. Check you PM.
