  5. Black. Great down jacket for climbing/mountaineering, barely used and in excellent condition. If you have a TNF shell that accepts liner jackets you can zip in the Summit Series down jacket. Better quality made in Bangladesh not China, DryLoft keeps the down insulation from getting wet in most conditions, 700 power fill insulation, down hood tucks into jacket collar, 2 hand warmer external pockets, one internal pocket plus one internal water bottle pocket, packs down into stow pocket, $120.
  6. SOLD: Mandarin Chinese - The Rough Guide, you need this if you're going to China and plan on eating. Great menu reader. Lonely Planet Brazilian Portuguese Phrasebook SOLD: Lonely Planet Southeast Asia Phrasebook, covers Burmese, Indonesian/Malay, Khmer, Lao, Thai, Tagalog, and Vietnamese. $4 for any one book, $10 for all three.
  7. Coming in at 4¼ lbs (light weight floor shaves ½ lb off standard weight) this mountaineering tent is the standard by which all tents should be measured. Bombproof, light, and roomy the tent served me well on 2 expeditions to Aconcagua – 14 days in December 2010 and 17 days in December 2011. Tent is in excellent condition except for one small tear (~½” long). Check the Integral Designs website at http://www.integraldesigns.com/product_detail.cfm?id=736 for more specs. This tent was made in Canada not China where Integral Designs tents are now manufactured. Also including the MK1XL vestibule, ground cloth, and parachute cord that I’ve added to all 14 tie down points (11 on the tent, 3 on the vestibule). Asking $300 for tent, vestibule, and ground cloth only sold together. Prefer local to Seattle area but will consider all offers.
  8. Regular length, mummy style, draft collar, zipper draft tube, 775-fill down, Gore DryLoft shell (Marmot doesn’t use DryLoft anymore, just MemBrain), left zipper, 3 lbs. 6 oz. weight, stuffs down to 7.5” x 15” (stuff sack and cotton storage bag included). Bought new and only used on 2 trips to Aconcagua - 14 days in December 2010 and 17 days December 2011. Great condition, plenty of loft. Asking $280 for the bag w/ Marmot stuff sacks. Can also include an OR Hydroseal compression stuff sack #2 for an additional $20. Prefer local to Seattle but will consider all offers.

  10. R.J. Secor's definitive English language climbing guide. Also a topographic map that I bought in Mendoza suitable for the Normal Route. Both in excellent condition, $20 for both only sold together.
  11. Intuition Denali mountaineering/ski boot liners, size 9, ultra light and warm, can be heat molded, only briefly used for a few days on Aconcagua, $90. Retail new for $160. Check Intuition page at http://www.intuitionliners.com/denali_page.htm
  12. Has anyone had any luck getting a Moss tent repaired there? MSR bought Moss then Cascade Designs bought MSR and promptly voided all Moss lifetime warranties. Cascade Designs gave me the number of Tent Repair Services in Maine but they're guessing ~$40 to replace a zipper slider on the fly. Could cost up to $75. Seems like a lot. Cheers. Jon
  13. What's the best way logistically to combine these 2 peaks - S route on Kaleetan and SE ridge on Roosevelt - on an overnighter? Is a car shuttle necessary? Thinking Roosevelt first day, camp at Gem Lake, then over Melakwa Pass south to Melakwa Lake and ascend Kaleetan day 2. Leave via Denny Creek to 2nd car. Is there a better way? Cheers.
  14. Probably looking like Sat, Sun, Mon; limited by work sched. Drive and hike in Sat to 8 mile camp, Glacier meadows or Snow Dome Sun, climb and head out Monday. I wouldn't bring skis. Not sure if snowshoes would be useful or overkill. Jon
  15. Did not pan out for this weekend so starting the search early for next weekend, either Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon, whatever looks best. Jon
  16. Anyone from Seattle thinking of Olympus this weekend, 3 days Sat, Sun, Mon? Weekend weather looks stellar yet again. Cheers. Jon
  17. Thanks Matt. Enjoy the boots. Still have the Intuition liners and snowboard for sae.
