I screwed up and bought 2 tickets to Bella Fleck and the at the Woodland Park Zoo for August 20th at 5:30. I have a work conflict and will sell the tickets at my cost, which is $46 for both. I'm in Everett, but work in North Seattle. PM me if you are interested. Jason

I had a 1974 poptop VW and loved it, but I never really felt comfortable with taking it on really long trips due to its age. It also drove kind of squirly, and was under powered. I also have extensive family experince with standard American make vans (dodge, chev, ford). We had several growing up. If you are at all handy I would buy the best running van (dodge, chev, or ford) conversion van or passanger van. Take the passanger van and retrofit the interior with custom made cabinets etc., or can go to the junk yard and get a refridgerator and sink from a VW and retrofit into your cabinet set up. My grandpa did this to an older dodge and he also built some custom bench seats that folded into a bed. The underside of each was lockable storage. Be creative 8-10 K should go a long way with a little elbow grease. Forget the Stove, build a table that folds out when the side door is open, and use a colman gas or propane set up of your choice. If you put an awning on the side of your van you will have a sweet dry cooking and lounging set up.

I used to climb at Flagstone in the early 90s. WTF has been going on up there? Sounds like this Tvedt dude and folks that developed Spring Mt. on the east side should get together and have a bolt orgy in the rubber room! Flag was one of the first places me and my crew really lead any slab routes and we were pretty new to climbing, but I don't remember anyone getting freaked on the spaced out bolts enough to say that there weren't any climbs that they could lead. I think all these climbers bitchen to you about needing climbs with more bolts is all in your head. You suck and that is a personal attack! I have heard and watched people like you destroy a lot of crags by over development, but the damage is done and the masses have come and now all we can do is lament you and your drill. As the infamous Doug Scott once said (paraphrased): those that penetrate the rock with such blatant disregard and disrespect, all that can be said is that they must make poor lovers!
