  1. I heard about that too and after yesterday was thinking it mighty ironic that Imax is getting such a story. Can't wait to see all their marketing. I'm not accusing him of anything but others are: Hamilton also has had to answer doubters such as Telekom team director Walter Godefroot, who a week ago called Hamilton's distress "an American PR stunt," and has denied speculation his performance has been influenced by the ongoing filming of an IMAX movie featuring him. "He's more or less calling me a liar, and the team a liar. I don't like that, but c'est la vie," Hamilton said of Godefroot. He's a fine actor if he can put on a suffering face like that for almost an entire race and up the two steepest grades. And why are you dudes so obsessed with their size and low body fat? They have a lot more muscle and girth than some scrawny world-class marathoners. I bet if you guys shaved your legs you'd look just as cut.
  2. Yup. I heard that Lancelot lost 13 or 15# during the last time trial when he didn't do so well from the heat and whatever other circumstances. Sounds a bit severe though.
  3. Credit Lyonese is the French bank/sponsor de la Tour. Every sponsor needs to throw around their goodies. Chicks like cute cuddly lions, too.
  4. Damn French ho's (Freedom Ho's??) don't appreciate a fine piece of American ass: She told the BBC Sport website: "It got a little boring kissing Lance Armstrong every day last time and it's already getting boring this year. Anyone want to give them some fun on the podium?
  5. What an awesome Tour! Tyler takes it all the way home! Euros take all that dope and still can't keep up. They never expected American cyclists to perform like this in a big tour. Back in Lemond's day they considered him an anomaly and continued to say that American cyclists would never reach the level of Euro riders. Lance and Tyler are shoving it right up their tight Euro asses!!! I love this one comment from the Velonews commentator: 4:09 p.m. Folks, he is gonna pull this thing off! This is amazing. He has been on the attack for nearly 140 kilometers, riding with an injury that would have had this commentator curled up in the fetal position weeping in the corner of my room. Is Tyler allowed to use painkillers in the Tour?? Lance and Tyler on the podium!!!

    I'm back

WHAT??? You're off the market?? If you listen closely you can hear the sighs of a thousand ladies who missed their chance. hahahaa welcome back and congrats to you and your chica! Are you guys both going to Russia now?
  7. Wuz up at Ruth 2 weeks ago and there's still a good deal of snow from below Hannegan Pass (Hannegan camps?). Rather than go straight up to HP we traversed the snow and scree fields below HP. Not skiable cuz the fields were melting out. Came down the regular route around HP. Lots of other skiers up there playing. Fun day trip to get some turns.
  8. Babe you are on crack. It's not the caffeine that does that - it's called GETTING OLD. You'll have to pry my coffee, chocolate, and red meat from my cold, dead hands.
  9. Good call on that. Support the locals. You'll get better exposure to the culture and less ass wiping than with a domestic outfitter.
  10. I took a 2 week course from American Alpine Institute when I was in grad school on the east coast and wanted to learn more mountaineering skills. Totally rocked, highly highly recommend them. Some of the best $$ I spent for what I learned and experienced. It wasn't "touristy" at all either. The other 5 folks in my group were also from the east coast (oddly enough), and they weren't afraid of getting down and dirty so we had a great group. As for living in NY and learning more skills....go up to North Conway, NH. It's a haven for mountaineering bums. Hang out there next winter, take some more mountaineering/ice climbing classes and you'll be all set. The guys at IME I've also heard the Island and Mera aren't technical peaks, but it doesn't hurt to go in prepared. I've wanted to do those too so have a great time!
  11. Kicking the steps in front of you so you could fly up.
  12. Happy 30th Jason! We'll make sure to keep the fubar going this weekend and I'll even share this time!
