Wow. I have yet to respond to any spray, but I felt compelled to offer phone numbers to some therapists in town. I took the liberty of looking them up for you. Community Psychiatric Clinic: 206-461-3614 Advance Therapy Association: 206-623-5244 This should get you started. Just do a google search and many numbers will pop up. Seriously, though, you may want to hurry. While you are in the waiting room, I would recommend reading some Dante, because your poetry sucks!! I hope you feel better soon, bro!
  3. I was up at Skaha a couple of weekends ago and had the exact opposite experience. There was hardly anyone there, we had access to any route we wanted, and had a fantastic time. It's unfortunate that you were up there on a holiday, because when that place is more chill, it is a very peaceful place to climb. Even on a busy day, you can get away from the crowds by hiking to the areas that are about and hour from the parking lot. The best climbs are back there too! I hope you give it another chance, because I think it is a great climbing area. By the way, the guide book (which is six years old) indicates that at least 300 routes require at least some gear placements. Some of the walls that are further from the lot are all trad. Did you notice that there was poison ivy EVERYWHERE? I have never seen so much in one area. At least you enjoyed a nice

    Skaha

I'm heading up to Skaha this weekend and was wondering if anyone could give me some useful information about the climbing. The "Skaha Rockclimbs" book is out of print and I have called everywhere in North America (alright, not really everywhere) and no one has a copy. I know most of the climbs are moderate sport, but I'm not at the point where I would feel confortable just bombin' up anything that looks good. Any information would help, or if anyone knows of a good website that would be great also. And if anyone is in a truly generous mood and wanted to lend me their Skaha book, I would be willing to throw some cash your way for the trouble. Thanks to all who can help.
  7. I will be climbing up at Skaha this weekend, but I am in need of partners this summer. What are you climbing these days?
  8. The weather does not look promising, but I'm willing to give it a try. Anyone want to take a ride out to exit 38 from the Seattle area? I'll bring the gear. As of now I'm leading up to 5.9+ and will follow up to .10/.11.
  9. There are two indoor gyms in Seattle. If you will be climbing alone, I would recommend Stone Gardens because they have more bouldering problems than any other gym I have ever seen. Vertical World (the other gym) would be a better choice if you had a partner and only wanted to do top ropes. Overall, I would say Stone Gardens is the better place to go because they have enough top ropes to keep you busy and more bouldering than you can imagine. It is located at 28th and NW Market in Ballard (a neighborhood in Seattle). Vertical World is in Ballard as well, but I can't remember the address. You can look them up on the internet for directions. Have fun!
