  1. I have owned several sets of FRS radios from Motorolla, Cobra and one other cheapie. The ones that I use now and the only ones that really work, skiing, car caravaning, biking, ect. are the Motorolla talkabout with the extended 5 mile range. they are tough and have great reception. Good luck Jake

    Dogs?

Dogs definately belong on the trail. My wife and I take ours everywhere. It seems people really enjoy seeing them. They are very well behaved though, well socialized, don't bark, and come when called. we are not as good as we should be about leashes though. I do really like nothing less than to see a big pile of poop, dog, horse or other, in the middle of the trail.
  3. There is a site that is similar to this for kayakers. Does anybody know what the address is? I have tried to find it again and can't seem to get to it. Has already been purged from my history... Thanks Jake
  4. Yeah, I know, this is a climbing site... but if anyone has a rudder set-up for a Dagger Cypress, I am in need of it. Thanks
  5. My wife and I are reading this book now, about 3/4 of the way through and at first we thought the same thing as you. after a bit though, He talks about maturing and after he is there for Marty's death he sure seems to cool out a bit. I still think he is a bit cocksure, but he seems pretty bad ass. I think it is true that he has improved (attitude) with age. BTW, how old is he now? any body know the date that the story ran in the Spokane paper?
  6. This guide book... I tried looking for it on the internet... no luck. where is Mountaineer's bookstore?
