  1. How uncool you must have been in 1990.
  2. Otherwise it's a pre-existing condition!
  3. You mean "Bless the French for this."
  4. Shit Bird. Let's leave Thursday night! I gots no qualms about an extra day of climbing/hangdogging. Assuming warm temps. I've had enough of Smith in the 40's. Fools don't get a job where they have decent free time.
  5. True but how many other routes are the "best of the grade in the Valley"? Ok, ok, I'll stop day dreaming about the Good Book. Baby is doing very well. She's been to the gym a few times already!

  7. Anyone mentioned Caboose, Malamute? And who in the hell has ever done Pipline and called it 10c?
  8. Anyone done The Good Book in the Valley since the big rockfall a few years back? I was down there in 2002 but did not want to do it that soon after the event. Has it stabilized or are there scary blocks etc? Not that I'm making plans for the near future, but it's nice to day dream about doing it someday.
  9. Hey, is the cave on the park side of the bridge? Looks like it has lots of probs. Gotta have some moderates for the likes of me!
  10. Norsky

    Joke. Laugh.

Shit, nothing funny about it. Looks like you just found an application for an Bachelor's in English baby!
  11. Am I seeing things or have you trimmed back the neck beard? Nice pics
  12. I'll second that, but the sickest guy in the flick is definitely that guy with the rod stewart hair that gets interviewed.
  13. Alan sent me a signed review copy. I have memorized it now, so $300 and its yours. Put it on Ebay and it will go for twice that much...and it would be worth it. I think I'll just boulder until it comes out. I need the new book to get motivated via hours of flipping through it on the couch.
  14. Did you see any sheets of ice cut loose on the cheif or apron? I imagine at -1C it would be a major concern
  15. Ok, assmonkey will bite. Uhm, yeah, so where, exactly, did you procure the aforementioned "NEW SMITH ROCK GUIDE ?" This interests assmonkey. Is it out yet, soon? Or should I go ask this here? Just like with the 2000 election, you can either dwell on it and let it ruin your life, or you can focus on the future. There is no new Smith book and there never will be!
  16. 5 gallon was put up about 5 years before the direct start to Light. Wow, you have lots of questions about this route!
  17. Check it out, NASA is debating whether or not to make the first chip job on Mars. Just imagine what the Euros would have done to "Adirondack" if their Mars mission was more successful. Click ME
  18. It used to start off to the left and traverse in through the huge huecos. You could hitch a candle stick or run it out to the first bolt. That was 5.9 Now it goes direct with a trickier start with a couple of extra bolts. That is 10a
  19. Is that the guy who's in "Hard Grit" and takes whippers on tiny nuts?
  20. You probably caught a glimps of old man Norsky while you were out. That cat wears around the shittiest 80's style cragging spandex and is as dirty as a frenchman. And cut-off jean shorts are any better Bird?
  21. You probably caught a glimps of old man Norsky while you were out. That cat wears around the shittiest 80's style cragging spandex and is as dirty as a frenchman. It's a free country isn't it?
  22. How the hell do you heal a broken tail bone? My climbing partner (wife) broke it delivering our daughter. Bummer! It's been 4 months and it still hurts bad. Everyone we ask says it can take weeks or years. What do you all know?
  23. It seems like the major impact of concern is vegetation and other organisms. The trails criss cross every which way. With some work a good trail system would have one trail reaching each climbing boulder that is connected to an arterial trail. I recall at the Peabodys there is at least one trail connecting each boulder with the neighboring boulder. This means each boulder has 3 to 4 trails instead of one. Just a thought, but what do I know?
