fresh powder galore. Snow conditions were excellente. Avalanche test: Soft snow down four feet to an ice base layer. Two fractures in the soft snow ... 3" and 1' 5". I did a slab test and it broke after 3 pounces (with snow shoes) at the 1'5" mark. The ride was like surfing on silk.
