  2. RIP Dean Potter

RIP Dean. You were a pioneer and explorer. A true original. I never sought to follow in your footsteps, but that doesn't make you any less inspiring. Fly free. Hey CCers, let's not recycle the trash of the comment boards around the interweb. Respect deserves respect. Here here! I agree totally, my comments were out of context and not pertinent to the thread at hand. I will go ahead and replace my post with something more suitable. My deepest apologies.
  3. RIP Dean Potter

We all flow from one fountain Soul. All are expressions of one Love. God does not appear, and flow out, only from narrow chinks and round bored wells here and there in favored races and places, but He flows in grand undivided currents, shoreless and boundless over creeds and forms and all kinds of civilizations and peoples and beasts, saturating all and fountainizing all. - John Muir
  4. RIP Dean Potter

Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul. - John Muir

All of those posters are diseased and no longer with us.
  6. SOLD Reposting this as I am ready to part with it. Looking to sell some old gear that has collector potential and is a hell of an awesome backcountry/adventure bolt kit. I will not part it out and I am firm on the price as I really don't care if I sell but I really need the cash for some new flyfishing stuff Items are in used but amazing shape. I bought the hammer in 1987 from John Middendorf on my way back home after a summer working at Devils Tower. I bought the Hurricane drill in St George when I worked in Zion. The drill comes with the standard SDS collet and a tapered collet for RAWL bits and other tapered bits. A5 bolt bag is pretty sweet and a nice selection of hangers and Rawl 5 piece bolts. Looking for $400.00 firm and preferred local cash deal. I might be coerced to drive a short distance if there is interest. Drop me a PM or email at: chirp at eyejuggler dot com
  7. Bumping this and dropping the price to 250.00 firm for the package, face to face only. PM me if you have other thoughts. I want to keep this local hence no ebay or supertaco, if I do not sell it I wont be sad, well I will be a little sad as I really want the funds for a new 10wt flyreel Again this is a pre-serial number hammer circa 1987. Thanks for looking
  8. Really? yeah but thanks for your effort. I did multiple searches using Uncle Tricky/Diedre/Squamish...etc. Nothing came up so i assumed it had been moved to an obscure location or removed totally.
  9. Sweet man, thank you very much! /bows

  17. Your other hobbies...

Yes sir, tying as every bit as addictive as fishing and climbing for that matter! I tie primarily for salt and Cutts, but this year I want to get my still water and small creek game on.
  18. Your other hobbies...

Thanks! Upgraded some things for this year, just need some sonar and she'll be rocking! The SRC was nearly 20", pretty burly and my largest so far. Super slow so far this year but right now Chum fry are starting to show so hopefully good action soon! I love climbing, but after 30 years and life changes, it seems to be less of an obsession, especially with so many more people and the price of gas This is so close and convenient it made sense.
