I agree the small size maybe a problem for some, like trying to press those tiny cell phone button while driving 80 mph. But for traveler and climber, lightweight and minature are a blessing.

Reading the digital camera reviews and the price($285+tax) led me toward the Sony Cyber Shot:
Exceptional battery life and the ability to manually control aperture and shutter speed on a lightweight, 7 meg, compact, automatic, point and shoot.
I'm no expert when it comes to taking pictures, but this camera might be fun to experiment with.
The Nikon Coolpix 7900 also received excellent reviews.

Returning this post to it's original topic, franchises, if you look at recent history it'll show that most franchises don't pay good salaries, require long hours, and produce only equity in the end, assuming it's a sustainable franchise model (not Krispy Kreme). In short, I sincerely doubt Marie's story.

Why is it that small companies and individuals will put up 100,000s or even millions of dollars to purchase a McDonalds or Dennys franchise, etc? Some even sign a contract to purchase several at the same time. I guess people with money are less cerebral than a few know it alls at cc.com.

I really hate to admit that I spent the money and booked an Alaska cruise with a friend. Never been on cruise before, just wondering if any "spraytards" have some advise. We are stoping at Skagway, Ketchikan, Juneau, and Victoria, BC.
