  1. Anyone else out here find Index face style sport routes really hard in the grade when compared to the trad routes? Or do I just suck at face climbing?
  2. Exactly. I know at least 10 people who have redpointed extensions to abo. and none of them left draws up over night. Its seems that if you are working the 13d or even the 12c you could just put the draws up on your first trip up for the day and take them down on the way down at the end of the day. In general you don't see fixed draws on anything easier than 5.12 usually not anything easier than 12C. Little Si has routes that have fixed draws on them and abo isn't one of them. Again sucks someone took your draws it just not that surprising I guess.
  3. Yeah, that is what I thought at first that there was a major break in. Sucks someone took your draws but you did leave them on the most popular route there. Probably just ask for them back instead of threating folks "i will see, you quadruple explanation points" with that attitude whoever took them should probably just keep them and take there chances. After all they can probably just track your location on 8a.nu and only use them when you start logging ascents elsewhere

    WTF Goldbar?

The problem is the last traffic light in sultan the one on the west side of town. Once you make it through that light your home free. I wish they would change the timing on that light. That said I rarely have a problem when I climb until dark. Right before it gets dark is the best conditions at index anyways. Even more so when its nice out so lots of people are going to be out driving. Usually its worst between 4 and 7pm.
  5. 1. approach shoes the glacier is flat 2. have you and your partner done much simul climbing? If you can't lead 5.8 are you going to be comfortable simuling 5.6? IF so then your rope seems fine 3. The notch, you can always fill up at the glacier right before gaining the notch. 4. that rack would be fine for some and not so fine for others 5. no idea depends on how much you simul
  6. blue tcu in the undercling before the first bolt no stick clip required. stick clipping vomit launch seems unnecissary if your climbing the grade... the da kline corner seems like it would require one though not that i have been on that route.
  7. I think you two are saying the same thing.
  8. Anyone go today? How was it? Warm enough? Dry enough? parking?
  9. Bumb Sol you ever get on this? And yes I wince when I see Collums name, too.
  10. I don't think this route would have bolted rap stations in cham. In the 15 or so routes I climbed in cham. I saw two bolted stations. It would probably have fix tat from people bailing but not from someone who set out to make a route you can rap. There are lots of routes in cham that end on ridges or the walk off puts you in another valley. So you really have to rap the route. There are places like on the east face of tacul that have fixed stations even though there are walk off routes possible. But you can probably climb routes on the east face of the tacul 6 months out of the year. or more depending on the year.
  11. Yup. I wondered about that too. Could this be another distortion used for political argument? Example: single person, no kids, $40,000.00 income: Estimated Tax Analysis Gross income $40,000 Qualified plan contributions - $0 Adjusted gross income = $40,000 Standard/Itemized deductions - $5,450 1 Personal exemption - $3,500 Taxable income = $31,050 Tax liability before credits $4,256 Child tax credits - $0 Estimated tax liability = $4,256 This is on top of what we've been calling "payroll taxes." This is also my 1040. No cut from McCain because I don't have a kid. 500$ from Obama's plan.

    Wealth Redistribution

link Oh, here is my source for the individual stuff. The other stuff should be well known...

    Wealth Redistribution

The 42,000$ was a senate procedure vote that I don't really understand but McCain and 94 other senators voted the same way. The 250,000$ is for FAMILIES. And the 150,000$ is for INDIVIDUALS, you know folks who can't claim, dependents. But INDIVIDUALS making 150,000$ won't get a tax increase they just won't get a decrease. Of course, they won't get much of a tax cut from McCain either because they don't make enough money...
  14. I haven't done it. But I know its been done at least 5 times and those are the ones I'm aware of so probably been done more... If your so keen to give it a go... you can setup a top rope by doing full iron horse. But you have to be able to do the start to numba ten to even consider amandla....

  16. pulling the cornice on big 4... to firm to tunnel or i'm to impatient...yet not exactly ice wham, even though my friends all hiked it, the first time i got on it i failed all over it, second time i did all the moves but the crux. Lead it 4 times with one fall at the crux before sending..
  17. Index because its close and the climbing is unique. If i live in bellingham it would probably be squamish.
  18. i think the first is aid or 12- section but i'm not seeing a key feature maybe memory is wrong
  19. have not done a route solo since I spent a month in Cham. with perfect weather and no partner..
  20. is a route R rated if you can fall off of it 20+ times without getting hurt?
  21. batskins? Can't tell though because of the lighting
  22. J.Y crag has a few nice 10's you could easily work into Sol's circuit. Condo Corner, A swingin Affair, Exotic Dancer, Pumpline, and the regular route at Careno.
  23. go work on that cave boulder probelm or route
