  2. mt snow located in the snowy range of snowdonia that is snowczar the snowzarian on the summit mt snowalittlealot in the background
  3. You may be thinking of Portage Island. The little Island South of Lummi land, flat little thing. Lummi Island is not on the rez. There is a ferry to the thing.
  4. -Yes some sort of hovercraft I believe
  5. Has anybody hiked up Lummi Peak on Lummi Island? Only reason I am asking is I can't seem to find access details on the thing, or if there is a trail or what. The Western side sure is steep!
  6. Off topic a little-what kind of camera did you use for your trip? Nice sharp pictures.
  7. The past 2 or three times I have been down there it had been raining in Bellingham and the way down, but Erie has been dry. Plus it is a short drive from Bellingham with a ok variety in routes (relative).
  8. When you are visiting your parents in Puyallup and you want to go for a hike and take photos. Up the snow fields and around up the South side of the thing reduces the bad scree thing.
  9. here is the upper park from last week (monday) I here a rifle may be handy for this climb. Me not climb this. pic taken from the deadly spire Coleman Pinnacle PICTURE OF PARK GLACIER
  10. I thought that Europe was going to get cooler from global warming. I no very little about this I may have seen it on tv or something, but the reason being ice from the arctic would melt off the icecaps and cool the sea and cause a cooler weather pattern for some of Europe. Excuse my ignorance I just remember seeing something to that effect.
  11. I am going to guess Mt. Jefferson in Oregon.
  12. Pigs are too smart toooo eat. Unless my Dad fixes me a delicious breakfest including said animal. -What is that marshmellow guy hopping around in a circle for?
  13. If you want to just hike up the thing you have nothing to worry about. There is no crevasse danger and any icy snow can be avoided pretty easily. The scramble up the back side is very simple-really just a trail in the not-so-bad scree. Bring a camera.
  14. Hunter man (Jaegeaaraar miieieister?) is a great idea, however I fear that I would start fighting my climbing partners for without reason. So Ranier it is.
  15. it is on the midle of the left hand side of the left road facing the other way towards the center of the right
  16. get on chuckanut somehow-just drive South from downtown Bellingham towards Fairhaven, i cant remember the street names but it is easy, or ask anyone. Drive Chuckanut for a long ways. The climb is on the left side of the road just before going across the bridge over the Samish river. It is right on the side of the main road, and it is easier to see if you turn around and head North if you miss it. Good parking right next to it. Never done it. it looks real good though as far as climbs around here go.
  17. That picture on this thread is really good. Reminds me of the Shuksan reflection lake thing, but with more strange neat mountains, and it is probably taken 10^5 times less. Hpefully it is harder to get tooo.
  18. Hey wind man don't worry about your "feeling" as long as you have good judgement you will have an easy trip. By the way where is the summit register that used to be up there? Did some long hair hippie-crite steel it and pretend it was a deed to the enviroment of the summit rocks of MT. Washington to take it. Well it wasn't -GIVE IT BACK!!!!!!!
  19. Love the photos. Is that gendarme on pic 21 as detatched and as scary looking when your on the mountain, is it a named feature? Looks hoooorrible!
  20. MONKEY MONKEY MONKEY MONKEY MONKEY........
  21. From your post I are you saying you have not climbed Washington before and have Q's. Me stupid and had 4brs. But if not-go for it it is a great mountain. If you don't like exposure and sketch you will be fine on route 1. It is really pretty simple just be sure and find the climbers trail and you should have no problem. BRING A CAMERA! There is a better rout via the Jefferson Pass Trail that is also pretty easy, but has some exposure. It is not really listed in the climbers guide. Take the trail to it's end. Scramble up dirt to ridge. Climb ridge until it ends and then climb left into basin and climb up scree crap slope to a 3rd class scramble thing to the summit.
  22. READ Tortilla FLats. It is an illarious read
  23. A hike or a climb? If an easy hike is what you crave-hike up Church Mountain, or Yellow Aster Butte trail maybe. Either one you could walk along the ridge for quite a ways. Also linking Skyline divide to Cougar ridge would be a good day hike as well, but a car shuttle would be required.
  24. Why would you want the feeling back in your toes? Consider yourself lucky. Next time you stub your toe it won't hurt.
