  1. Any one have the new live stuff?
  2. Have to love the layer of haze formed over Baker in stale weather from the generators. Baker is only open for like 7 hours or so. Slow lifts. Stevens at least updates their lifts and such. Baker just gets more expensive. I find it better to not waste money on a ticket there and hike around instead. Try beating Bakers scenery though. -And the N. Fork Brew. By the way have they fixed the elevation on Mt. Shuksan yet on their map?
  3. Numbers?? Find a digital slr use it. Compare to slide. Never use slide again. My opinion. Heres another-Compareslidedigital
  4. After shooting 35mm slr film then switching to digital slr I will never go to film again. Big prints are no problem. Detail is important to me and with digital (in my opinion) exceeds 35mm film. By the way the Canon 1D I think is around $3,000 and the 1DS full frame is around $8,000. Have 10D.
  5. I've started to rate my travels in the mountains by how I hold my camera I- camera may dangle around my neck freely II- camera stays around neck, but with use of hands must be held on to III- camera stays in pack until something good comes up IV- camera stays in pack until the top because I'm scared and can't take pictures Only thing that I have really found that works is around the old neck, but only in good weather. Helps to have strap around the shoulder too instead of just neck.
  6. Goof off may well and off a human. Strong chemical junk.
  7. GLISTER=bad OH NO! There is a lifetime of oportunity there. You could climb a route then scratch and scrape in a new route in the wall of sand for unlimited new climbs.
  8. I have probably done it 6 times. There are diiferent levels of restoration, plus it is reversible. Try it!
  9. Please stop pulling posts that people that are interested in climbing enjoy reading. Am I going to climb Slesse this winter-NO. Am I interested in a public conversation on the topic-yes that is why I come to this web site. No one should get flak for posting topics as such, so STOP "cleaning" up the board please. I enjoy reading about other peoples stories and viewing their pictures almost as much as my own experiences in the mountains. Appologies drnking so I spell wrong, plus I'm dumb.
  10. Thats what I said after getting the 10D (pentax 35mm though). That lasted about a week.
  11. What did you get? 10D? Digi-Rebel? Open pictures in Photoshop. Resize to 400x600. Then go to save for web and move slider to about 75kb or so or whatever looks good.
  12. I guess you are talking about the are above and to the approximate West this?
  13. What do you mean by no caves? This was taken a 10 days ago. Did it melt? Or are the caves usually diferent? Just wondering-not being smart.
  14. Kazaa is good, but I believe it illegal, but that is stupid, so download Kazaa Lite (the one without ads and stuff) and go at it!
  15. Nice picture. Thanks for posting! P.O.P is on or near Rexford? Was checking out that area couple weeks ago-looks cool. Great weather in B'ham right now! Check out this pic. No lighting grab, but it looks like daytime!
  16. Someone please post a picture of the Pillar of Pi. I like math. I like mountains.
  17. ick, summitpost I guess it has its place though The ratings and point system are stupid Glad to see lots of pictures however!
  18. Dave Page was very bad in my experience with his shop. LONG turnaround! Friend had his soles come apart quick from him too.
  19. Here is the photo attached if not viewable.
  20. This thread gets a little confusing for dumb people like myself, but am I reading it right that there is some confusion as to if that is Larabee and Slesse in that picture away back? I believe it is. Here is a picture of them a little closer. The profiles are very alike.
  21. Went up here via Ridley creek. Really just on a drive and saw trail, followed, panted, and just kept going. Didn't know where I was going until I saw the lookout on Park Butte. Not a bad way to get to the Easton side of Baker. Got dark and ran the trail down in my Levis, got chub rub on hips-lame.
