To start from cold springs campground, is the route up the south side easily recognized, i.e. trail head markers? If not where the best place to get a good map? Also, on rainier, how safe is it to travel now up to Muir, un roped?

I'm gonna solo this route Weekend of July 5th. Second time in Cascades, what should I expect on this route?

I am coming out to Seattle from Atlanta July 5th to solo Adams, South Spur, easy route. Been on Rainier 2 years ago, Emmons. Would like a partner for Fuhr Finger or other moderate route. I have been on 4 climbs previous, moderate skills, great endurance.
