  1. Sharing the info in case somebody comes across his car at the trailhead: http://www.bellevuereporter.com/news/police-searching-for-missing-bellevue-hiker/
  2. Hello, has anyone been to Colchuck area recently? Trying to figure out if Backbone ridge would be possible this time of the year or if it would be better to wait till July/Aug.
  3. Ended up going up Northeast Buttress route on the Chair. Few wet sections and some less steep portions were snow covered, but overall it was great fun.
  4. Has anyone been on the Chair peak recently. I am looking for information if the Summer rock route has meted out/climbable or if it is possible to make it up with the descent gully? Appreciate any info on the current conditions.
  5. If you are looking for multi-pitch in the .11 range Devil's Path (El Sendoro Diablo 5.11, 6 pitches) instantly comes to mind. Another great climb is Time Wave Zero (23 pitches) with only two .11 pitches one 12a bolted closely enough to pull on quick-draws and many more pitches mostly 5.9 is worth checking out.
  6. Thanks to everyone for your responses, will attempt the FULL ridge in sneakers, and even if we don't make it all the way to the start of the ridge I am sure it will be a great hike
  7. So how much sliding is required to get to the lower north ridge (East Side variation)?
  8. Thanks for the photo. The picture is taken from the ridge, pointing west, right?
  9. Hello, people who diff full North Ridge of Stuart few years ago told me that it is possible to walk under the glacier and avoid snow (thus no crampoons and ice axe). Anyone knows if this is true this year?
  10. So, has anyone crossed the river after the collapse of the bridge?
  11. Hello, I am hoping to do Northeast Buttress of Slesse (via bypass) and any beta would be greatly appreciated. In particular: Do I need Ice Axe and crampons? Is it possible to get water on the route? How long is the approach for people with no cense of direction? Thanks, Alex
  12. Hello, I am looking for a partner to do Outer Space this Saturday. I can drive and have a rope and most of the rack. If you don't want to do Outer Space, but whould like to do some other similar multi pitch I am up for it. Please don't let me spend this Saturday at home, send me a P.M.
  13. There is a large group of us, mostly from the Eastside, who climb together at Vertical World and take weekend trips to popular climbing destinations. We have a mailing list that we use to coordinate our trips. To sign up go to: Cool List. The name of the list is washingtonclimbers. Everyone is welcome. P.S. Most of us are single males, and maybe some of us are cute.
