  1. Looking for a few partners for Mt Fury. 3 or 4 days
  2. My dad had that in two different fingers during two different time frames. He had surgery on each of the fingers. A different doctor did the surgery each time. One of the fingers works now and the other one doesn't.
  3. Looks like the Rangers who know the circumstances better than we do, deemed that Dave Shade exercised poor judgment when he left his partner and for that reason issued him a fine. Dave did not figure that he would be fined for his actions. It turned out that he was wrong. That is were his judgement was again, poor. I'd also say that Dave Shade used poor judgment when he selected his partner and likewise for Jesse Selwyn.
  4. Worn 5 times, they are just a touch to short for me. They are very good boots. I now own the size 13 Narrow. Paid $150.00 Sell for $75.00
  5. Those photo's are absolutely amazing. When they look as if they'd be good to eat; I know they're top notch. Wow! those pics are very good, world class!
  6. Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll climb it next year. If you need a partner one of these days let me know.
  7. I climbed the first pitch of this route in July. How does that pitch compare in difficulty compared to the rest of them on the Becky Rt. Ed
  8. I tried to erase that post after I sent it but is was too late. I suppose I could/should have modified it. I have a lot of respect for engineers, sometimes wish I was one. To engineers, What kind of a systems would you recommend in this case? What do you see as most likely to result in failure? Is it the bridge that might buck someone off or is something likely to break?
  9. I'm thinking that a guy could cut to the chase by talking to an Arborist and an Architect. The engineers seem to get too anxious when it comes to actually building/doing.
  10. I'm wondering if you could bore a hole directly through the middle of the anchor tree's trunk and then run a long eye bolt through the tree, finishing with a washer and a nut. The eye of the bolt could be set out a ways so that the tree would not grow over it for a long time. I think that this way might have less impact on the tree than an anchor method that circumscribes the tree. This is just a thought.
  11. North Face of Concord Tower has a 1/4" on the second pitch. There is a flake there, but it does not take a cam very well. I was just up there today.
  12. I'm fine with leading. I climbed with Tim in Ecuador back in 2000. I was on a guided trip with aai. I can't go on Monday. It looks like the weather might be a problem up there anyhow. Maybe Leavenworth would be better.
  13. Very, very nice, sweet job. If you want to do it again this year let me know, I've never done it. Ed
  14. From Lunch Ledge do you literally go straight up from the Rap slings or do you go out to the right 10'-15' and then up? Looking at the picture it appears that you just went straight up and then found the crack. We were just up there yesterday and found a nalgene water bottle on the ledge. We did the usual Improb Trvs That's cool! Sweet climb!
