I am celebrating my birthday tomorrow night at the Nickerson with my friends including some fellow pub club regulars. I don't want to create dissention among cc.comers since it is tecnically supposed to be in Tacoma this week. I just couldn't fit any other day in this week. So, if you all would like to join us tomorrow night at the Nickerson, I would love to see. The weather forcast is looking good for sunny, warm outdoor seating. Dave, as for my age, I am proud to say I'll be 32.

This message was forwarded to me from a friend of mine yesterday: Dear Climbing Friends, This last weekend a group of friends of mine were out for a fun weekend at City of Rocks. They had had a great weekend of climbing. Yesterday morning, their last day of climbing, one of those friends took a long leader fall,turned upside down on her fall and hit her head. She was not wearing a helmet and she subsequently died. She was climbing what would be considered an easy sport route, it was run out at the top and she was almost at the anchors when she fell. When accidents like this happens, it reminds me of how dangerous climbing really is. It also reminds me how little things can do so much. Please, next time you are climbing, don't forget to wear your helmet. It could mean the difference between life and death. Also, please remind your friends about this next time you are climbing.

Another fun evening of supporting our local breweries was had in Kirkland last night. Sharing in libations and tale tails wereallisonclimber formerly known as captaincavementothetopmtnrngrmattpalpinekDrJspecialedgregwcrazyjzslidecrackaaronjuanitachuckRodeo was appearantly MIA. Mattp will check the official pub club rule book, but we're pretty sure that there is a clause in there that states if you call the pub club, you must attend the pub club. Rodeo, I think you owe Gregw a beer since he came from Sultan, by far the farthest distance traveled. Mattp waited with anticipation to meet trask but he was no where to be found. Informal statistics reveal that only 25% of the pub clubbers were from the eastside, showing amazing support to our eastside friends by fellow cc.comers. Quote of the night came from allison who said to specialed, "Kurt tells me you're really good". We're not too sure what Kurt thinks specialed is good at, but we're assuming he means climbing. Kirkland pub club ended about 10:30 and some of the westsiders continued with Pub Club part 2 at Murphy's in Wallingford. Per Chuck's request and prior recommendation, next week's pub club is at Cooper's on Lake City Way.

Rodeo I say go ahead and call it or we may have another 2+ page discussion where we have to do a intensive research through the archives to figure out where it is.

I just wanted to say thanks for a great pub club. The drive was worth it especially 'cause I was able to capitalize on a trip to Krispy Kreme. Eperiencing the climber formerly known as Captain Caveman is also always a treat. Jens proposed we have a collaborative slide show for one of the pub clubs. Sounds like a great idea. So Jens, let us know if you need help planning that. Mattp, maybe you should send us all a copy of that elustrious rule book once you gotten it completed! See you all next week.

Dwyaner, thanks for the lovely compliments. I knew there was a reason other than beer that I was heading to Tacoma. I'd thank you for the beer that you promised to buy, but I do believe mountain ranger actually footed the bill for that one. As for fast Eddie's new ID, I believe it's Figger Eight.
