  1. The cat I talked to last year said that it was a some kinda miner group that anyone could join. It was 35 bucks a year. And you got the key to gate. So if three people chiped in that would be..... You gotta love coming outta there on your bikes though.
  2. Some great climbs: would love to include Straight Shooter and Wholesome Fullback from Red Rocks. And hats of the B-line from Chocise Stronghold! Cheers!
  3. The east face "direct". The moat will go for a week.Maybe.
  4. So I was up on Chimney Rock this weekend picture here and here . A VERY nice area with a kinda Pickets flavor. This is the stuff I found on the route: one fixed 60 meter rope. four cams, two hexs, two nuts, four biners, a water bottle and an ice ax cover. at the lovely medow I found a cached sleeping pad and some garbage. It was pretty rough seeing all this stuff everywhere. NO, I didn't hike much of it out. I was just wondering if anyone had thoughts about garbage in the mountains or had been in areas that seem kinda "trashed" out.
  5. If you be lichen the lichen you'll be lichen it!
  6. We heard those tunes all the way up at the summit of Whitehorse!
  7. I wanna hear more 'bout Agnes. Has ANYONE climbed it in the cyberworld? I didn't think so........
  8. The dead tree that was on top of Rattletale at index.I don't know why I agreed to this insanity!
  9. you know, my buddy climbed it that way and told me" you gotta go to the face". Well, I liked the chimney and the gear and didn't yard on the sling(chestbeat). I thought that chimney was EASIER than the "5.8" Aires or the Lizard at Index. And it has way better gear than the chimney at index. .02 cnd
  10. "shaved like the shape of a heart" City Of Rocks. Loose, scary and now much harder after all the stuff we pulled off leading it. All the shit on the left at fourth of july rock. Pure garbage.
  11. Thanks for the info.... I guess I've gotta go climb Dark Rythm and see for my self!
  12. uh, I think your talking 'bout Mt Higgins? Middle peak? I looked at it, oh 15 years ago before I was a climber. Hey MattP, I climbed the west butt a couple weeks ago with a friend. Long story short we rapped off at the ledge. We didn't go down either Rainman or Dark Rythm. It was four raps and the second to the last one was almost too long for a 60 meter rope! Like clip into the anchor and then hang onto the rope as it goes through your device. Let go of the ropes and your screwed! I was wondering if this is something that Chris from C&S put up? It had the brown two bolt anchor with a chain style I've seen Dave use on Westward Ho for the top station . I guess my questioin is can you see the rap station of Dark Rythm or do I need glasses?
  13. I just posted a "retouched" poicture of that guy! I really hope this a member being weird..... if that cat is posting his picture here randomly.... why thats creepy.

  15. Endgame/Rockfellow group/Cochise Stronghold/Arizona
  16. lummox: its supposed to be distracting! Snoboy: cause linking pictures directly slows down to page dramaticly. If yuo don't have cable/dsl/t1 or whatever.
  17. if you think that site is cool go check this bloody flapper check out the movies under features. Insane! And as far as goldbar goes... can anyone say Deer Creek Flats? I don't really burn anymore so its hard to motivate to do the brush thrash. I'll wait till some dude cashes in on the guidebook cow.
  18. yeah that clearcut is looking good! here is a link to some shots of goldbar. goldbar contrivances
  19. Nice job lummox! Its towaway zone. Now if you could name this formation.... a tower a slight bit more difficult.
  20. OK its seem to not like my attachment try this http://kar404.50megs.com/rockshot.jpg
  21. In the spirit of glasnost and a sunny day I thought I would restart one of my favorite cc climbers thread. I'm gonna start it with a relatively easy one. It's NOT in the cascades. See post two down for link
  22. check these cats out potential cash Any takers? Mike you got something to say?
  23. I still think the best response to fear is to install chains all the way down climbs... just think you can clip anywhere and it will be easier to find the crags on those "wicked" approaches.
  24. Looking good Chuck! You have been spending way too much time in front of the monitor! Now if I could only figure out where the Zipper lost it's letter grade......Keep up the work and link away!
  25. I'm preaching to the choir here but here goes. Have any of you ever climbed at Pearly gates? I'm guesssing that that lovely crag was a moss fest before the fire/logging. And every time I climb up at squishy I always enjoy the "home improvement" structures you encounter. The Canadian's don't seem to be shy of getting rid of an offending tree or two.
