  1. I wrote something like this before but my reply did not seem to process...sorry if everyone has to read it twice. Office Space- Relax dude! Please try to get over your litigation happy self and quit sparking up at every less than totally serious comment. This board is all about getting good beta along with some sarcastic and lighthearted ribbing. That is exactly what you got. If you want politically correct you better look elsewhere! You are reminding me of the surly drunk guy in a bar who lashes out at everybody who so much as looks at him because his girlfriend refused to blow him in the parking lot. Smile more often, you will get laid more, I promise!!
  2. Office Space, please do us all a favor and get over your litigation-happy self. Don't take everything so seriously. You posted a thread and got some good beta as well as some ribbing, that is what this site is all about. Did you bother to read the peaceful things Lambone had to say or did you just skip them so you could get to the negative sarcastic bits? Lighten up and smile, you'll get laid more often !!!!
  3. You know, I just may have met this Bad Teeth Dan guy at Spire last year. Long, scraggly hair, wiry as hell, about 5'4" had the whole rock mwmorized. Said his name was Dan. I had been climbing for a while and stopped to rub the pump out of my forearms and watch this beautiful woman traverse, she was quite a good climber, very graceful. This guy moves up next to me and goes, "man, is she hot or what???" "Yeah, I said, why can't I meet more women like her?" He struck up a conversation with her and managed to creep her out enough to cause her to talk to me as a way of getting rid of him. I ended up seeing Tammy for a couple of months. Really cool woman. Thank you so very much Dan. I truly appreciate both you and your bad teeth!!!!!
  4. Not to be insensitive, but why did they have to die? They called this fire the 30 mile fire because it was 30 miles up the Chewuch RIver valley at the end of the road in the Pesayten Wilderness. No houses, just wilderness. Fire is an important part of the natural system and if no human life or property is immediatly threatened why should we (taxpayers) pay for fire suppression and risk the lives of innocents. All this in the name of interfering with the natural order of things and increasing the risk of fire in the future. (fire prevents fire by reducing fuel for fire.......huh?) My $.02
  5. Didn't George Micheal get busted for jacking off in a public restroom???? Hmmmmmmm......
  6. Furthermore: Remember what Woody Allen once said: "I would never belong to any club that would have me as a member"

Specialed--- Good for your friend, more of us should get paid to execute our passions; the world would be a much happier place. Probably have less spandex coated cellulite too!

    work!?

I'm a fish biologist for the Puyallup Tribe. Usually I'm out playing with salmon. I live a very schizophrenic existance; splitting my life between tossing artificial bugs for cutthroat and swatting real ones while placing a nut. Every so often I am trapped behind a desk at which times I am thinkful for this BB and the diversion it provides!

    crampons

Scott, are the crampons you mentioned, the Stubai's flexible? What you say makes sense about using flexible ones for this boot but so does Will's advice about using rigid ones. I would think I would be more comfortable on steeper stuff with rigid crampons.....Whatever will I do? You two could rock/paper/scissors to see who is closer to the ever longed for cup of absolute truth....... I have an old pair of Koflach rigid plastics too, perhaps I should buy something that will work on both?
  11. I recently bought a pair of Sportiva Trango's with the goal of doing some longer moderate alpine rock routes. I'd like to be able to climb and approach in the same boot. Does anyone have any suggestions about crampons for them and which bindings will work. It has been a while since I have been on the snow and I am not too up to speed on what is available these days........
  12. Donna, Donna, Donna, why so angry? You sound like a spurned woman, please do yourself a favor and beg Pope to come back to you before it is too late. He may yet forgive you. He might even take you climbing if you are extra nice.

    fossil beta

Fossil Rock is pretty cool if you like vertical to overhanging, pumping face climbing. The rock is a volcanic, welded tuff with all these unlikely looking knobs sticking out. Many of them look like they are ready to explode but are really quite reliable, on the more popular routes anyway... It is all bolts (there are a couple of cracks but they are pretty grungy) and there are probably 30 or so 40 to 70 foot routes. There are many 5.7-9 routes and some really cool stuff in the mid 11's. It is definately worth a few days of play up there and lots of the routes can be climbed even in the rain! There is a guidebook out by Marlene Ford and Jim Yoder....Buy it!
