  2. quote: Originally posted by erik: I'LL second or third the nomination for timl and i'll third or fourth it. TimL rocks!!! i was told index grades are rather burly to begin with, and the top half of jap gardens - at a mere 10a, right??? - just showed me how so! ps - TimL is WAY cuter than Cpt.Caveman *or* Lambone.
  3. quote: Originally posted by Lambone: missed ya at the gym last night hot stuff...whats up with that??? i didn't think anybody (except my partner) would notice. i was there this morning, though. where were you, my studly leadmaster hunk?
  4. get some lowe alpine adrenaline pants - full side zips and "triplepoint" fabric (which claims to be waterproof and breathable). $99 ... so you don't feel like you got totally ripped off if you trash them by glissading on your ass all the way down mt. adams.
  5. quote: Originally posted by Crackbolter: Salomon 1080 ski with brand new 160 Rossi Bindings, $150 what size 1080's?
  6. i like to climb on tuesday and thursday mornings ... early (as in done by about 9:15am). they open at 6am. lead check and gym rope a plus but not a must. pm me.
  7. quote: Originally posted by Dan Larson: Gee you little fellas who climb to make your dicks seem bigger are really starting to worry me [...] you might want to do some more research before you make a statement like that. the climbing seems to do the trick for some guys.
  8. quote: Originally posted by Cpt.Caveman: Lawgoddess, I dont remember who but I was in a haze of beer drinking. It was a Squishy local is all I can recall... hmm; i kind of get the feeling you like to drink beer, eh? and that's precisely why i was asking - just wondering if it was someone i know up there. some of those local boys are pretty hardcore on the granite! nice work, whoever it was!
  9. hee, hee. sk, they're all yours!
  10. well, having had a chance to take in all the information y'all have so graciously provided, i've come to the unfortunate decision that neither one of you are very cute. and i'm not sure i'm impressed with guys who live in caves or barns. i guess i'm going to have to go back to choosing my climbing partners by how hard they climb ...
  11. I don't care who's the better climber; I just want to know who's cuter.
  12. quote: Originally posted by erik: so i dunno if it was the major lack of sleep this weekend or what, but after the world cup last night we watched this movie called waking life and man....i dunno if my brain works anymore.... i highly reccomend this film.....and i can't even explain it right now..... !*yawn*! i watched the usa game last night. well, most of the first half anyway. i think i slept through the second half, until my friends woke me up screaming because korea scored a goal. but anyway, i second erik's recommendation. "waking life" is SUPERB!!! of course, it helps if you have *any* interest in philosophy. really cool animation in this film, but if you can't stand listening to people just sit and talk about their ideas on lucidity, you might be better off renting "dude, where's my car" ...
  13. the weather looks good for the weekend in the squamish area ... though some precip could move in later on tuesday. not sure about further north. report back on what you find for climbing, though; i'm anxious to hear about it!
  14. i was just kidding. (i already know tim's cute. ) i actually like to lead, but i'm still learning so it helps to have someone along who doesn't mind ropegunning the more difficult stuff. and i'm definitely willing to not only pull my weight where i can but also to return any favors. hey, i'm a team player.
  15. quote: Originally posted by IceIceBaby: looking for some of those. 30 to 40 if the price is right. PM me if you have any to sell you can order them through pro mountain sports.
  16. quote: Originally posted by Matt: For all you single climber chicas out there, I suggest you snatch up this ropegun while you can! He's available ladies! yeah, but will he haul my stuff for me? and - more importantly - is he cute?
  17. i got my partner for the weekend over with an expired washington state id. (i have a valid passport myself.) we got hassled a bit on the way over and my car and all of its contents got searched, but it was smooth sailing on the way back.
  18. quote: Originally posted by payaso: ArcTeryx uses the same business model that Oakley, TNF, and others use.... That is that if you don't charge enough money for your product, nobody will want it. A bunch of over-priced mediocre crap if you ask me. I've never used their harnesses however. I think they sell some kind of gore-tex climbers jacket for about $450 US! What a joke! have you ever even seen one of their jackets??? dude, you have no idea what you're talking about. people want arc'teryx shells because they are the best. nobody wants to pay $450 for a jacket.
  19. jewelry outside: bad? jewelry inside: not so bad? i had one little scare with a finger ring during a fall out of a hand crack and promptly removed it when i could. i've never had any problems with my ear, toe or navel rings while climbing, though - inside or out. i did get some of my hair stuck in my belay device once while on rappel. that was a scary little lesson!
  20. quote: Originally posted by Son of Caveman: I have a sack ring and a small tatoo of Taz on the end of my twinkie. Would you care to see them sometime, Lawgoddess? ummm ... not really. unless taz is climbing 5.14.
  21. quote: Originally posted by Son of Caveman: [QB]Dwayner, I think you are sorely mistaken about a woman's attraction to a man with a ring./QB] as a "woman" i would have to agree. i'm not attracted to a man with a ring ... unless it's an earring, toe ring, or a nice pair of nipple rings.
  22. as long as she stays off of the far-too-numerous heinous finger crack routes, she'll probably be okay.
  23. Anybody use the Ultralight 40 for sport climbs? Just curious what you think of it ...
  24. How about next weekend? I might be up for leaving Saturday night and coming back late on Monday or Tuesday if anyone's looking for a ride and climbing partner. Would love to do some multi-pitch stuff ...
